It's amazing that the Persian/Iranian language was once an official language in the USSR.

It is also amazing that many Turkic languages like Kirgiz, Khazak, Uzbek were official languages in USSR.

How did the Tajiks avoid being Turkified like other "Stan" nations? The Aryans once lived widely throughout Central Asia, but today only the Tajiks survive.

Love to Tajiks and Persians from a Central Anatolian Kurd, our dialect sounds kinda similar to Tajik ❤️ we also have the A > O sound shift.

I've once met a Persian speaking French researcher at a mutual friend's birthday party. She had spent some time in Tajikistan. She told me an interesting anecdote. When I told her that the word for landing (of a place) in Azerbaijani meant "to fall" or for planes "to crash" and it caused panic when Turks were traveling on Azerbaijani planes, she told me it was the same for Iran and Tajikistan: the word "to land" in Tajik is used for "to crash" in Farsii. I don't know if that's really true but if it is, it's so interesting. Almost parallels each other.

Diese Prozess, als ,, Sprachreinigung " bekannt, wurde von der Türkischen Sprachgesellschaft ( Türk Dil Kurumu) durchgeführt, die 1932 gegründet wurde.

As a French speaker from Quebec who learned some Persian from a friend, Tadjik sounds to me like Persian with a Quebec French accent, especially with vowels quality ! Both are amazing languages !

Tajik and Dari are essentially the same language; the only difference is that Tajikistan forces the use of the Cyrillic alphabet, while Dari uses the Persian script.

@@randomfootages9120 Tajik and Dari are Persian don't separate the languages
@RooiGevaar1917 сағат бұрын
It does not force Cyrillic script, they use it simply because they only know it and it is relatively easier script to read & write. However imo Tajik Cyrillic needs a revamp, e.g. the Russian J-letters should be removed and replaced with a separate J consonant, so some rules would be simplified. There was a similar proposal about 2010, but so far nothing has been done.

Both are one language, but what makes the tajik accent of persian a single language is that tajik is written in Cyrillic alphabet although the iranian persian is written in perso-arabic alphabet

It seems to me that Tajik has more archaic pronounciations, and open sounds...

One of the biggest differences I noticed is the phonology In Tajiki Persian the  becomes O While the O from Western Persian becomes U And lastly the E short vowel from Western Persian becomes I in Tajiki Tajiki: nomi tu Western Persian: Nâme to I think Tajiki has the most authentic Persian phonology as these are the original way to pronounce these letters it's the same in Dari and other Iranic languages such as Kurdish too the only difference being the O in Tajiki can change to an A but I and U stay the same
