Wonderful composition and arrangement. Organic with the place it comes from and still jazz. Excellent melting pot. No pretense. Coming from the inside. And yet expert. Educated but that adds to the organic part of it. Exploratory and true to the material. Open-hearted. I wish I could be a part of it.

@@MahanMirarab Dear Mahan, I've been researching some Aziza M. Zadeh, Azerbaijani mugham ostad singers, Jeffrey Werbock on kamancheh and tar and lately looking more and more into classical Persian music and your Persian Side Of Jazz. It's like a magnet to me really - for years I've admired in-depth fusion styles and ethnic music. (When given a list of songs, the few I love most are usually the oldest when I look them up..) I've done a lot of jazz of different kind, acappella too and some modern classical music and spent periods of time doing only the blues. Now I'm transcribing Ey mahe man by Shajarian and really love what you did with that, too. I would love to ask you some questions for my analysis if you have the time. Can I write you an email?
