i esp. like the comment you make about how monotony can be a factor in accidents. I noticed this a *lot* when making drawer boxes for my kitchen where i had a jillion box joints to cut in plywood. man you know it, and what i found is that i was physically tired from being so fully concentrated on making these drawer box joints with my dado stack. I kept having to turn off the clock in my head reminding me to go get a burrito for lunch because it was 12:30... ...i'm reminded of a dirt-bike racing aphorism: "ya gotta go fast in the fast parts, and slow in the slow parts" can't recall who coined that phrase, but it's so true when you're in the workshop. anyway, thanks for the post, amigo! adam of oakland, ca, usa

Thank you for making this video! Some really good tips :) Really handy for beginners like me that do everything wrong the first time. Try to reduce the background sound, it was difficult to hear you speak

Thanks, as always! I apologize for the background noise - that's my floor fans. Temps in my shop are high 80's and I'm dying from the heat - so, I keep those fans running. I realize they do create ambient white noise, but I really do need them for cooling. I will try in the future to keep them either lower or off if I can, at the least while I'm speaking. I use iMovie to edit these videos but will be moving up to Final Cut Pro. Perhaps that program has more advanced audio software editing whereby I can reduce that background noise, hopefully! iMovie does not. If anyone knows of an audio extension that will do this for me - please let me know in the comment section, it would be much appreciated! TIA.. mike

Haha no problem, I also use iMovie, there is a thing that helps to reduce background noise but it doesn't work haha.
