Karissa Thompson Ironically, I was part of the surgical team at Walter Reed that Operated on her leg after she made it back to the states. I don't recall all the details, as patient names are not a focus in the O.R. But later I recall seeing her around the compound at the same time I was trying to transition back to Civilian life as a Reservist pulled into the first phase of the war.
