100% agree. I have an M&P 2.0 compact 4".. and it is the shit! Ran loads of different ammo, (even tried a mag of steel case), & I run Speer Gold Dot +p 124gr. JHP for self defense.. and Ive never had a malfuntion/issue of any kind. Im extremely accurate with it compared to any other pistol ive shot, and when I mag-dump it (to practice realistic self-defense shooting) my groupings get wayy smaller somehow. This thing is a beast. And a PSA AR or AR pistol in 9/10mm is next on my list. Im really leaning towards a pistol caliber carbine w/ a 5"-8"ish barrel. Something light & compact, but very effective close up & at 100-150yrds or so. But also want one of their 16" AR's just cause😄🤘🇺🇸

I have an OG M&P and it is a fantastic gun besides the garbage factory trigger. Dropped an Apex trigger in it and it was good to go. It was my first striker-fired polymer wonder 9. Still don't own a Glock and have no desire to. Since basically everything is stainless (and usually even nitrided on top of it), the grip angles are actually sane, and they offer manual thumb safeties, I don't think anybody else makes a more compelling polymer-framed striker-fired gun. Closest competitor might be CZ. This makes me wonder if they'll make an aluminum frame 10mm, since I had been eyeing their 10mm as my first 10mm ever since it came out. Was previously considering settling for an RIA HC 1911. If they make an aluminum frame 10 ... I will give in to the temptation.

Only .40 I have ever shot was a friend's H&K P30. Only other handguns I had ever shot back then were 1911s and that thing fit my hand like a glove and I somehow managed to shoot it like it was on rails. It was probably just H&K's recoil spring voodoo, but the recoil was pretty pleasant in contrast to what most people seem to always say about the cartridge. That one range trip makes me still want a P30 to this day. What draws you to .40 S&W, in particular? It doesn't really perform any better than other alternatives and you end up boxing yourself into a shrinking market. I agree on the thumb safety. It was the only thing that ever convinced me to get a striker-fired polymer wonder 9 in the OG M&P 9. Only other one I have gotten since is the Taurus G2c, which also has a manual safety.
@hereforthechips77102 жыл бұрын
@@xb0xisbetter .40 goes though the skull. 9mm can catch and the bullet will ride around the skull. Ballistics are just better and with more weight, it should be a better platform. This will be adapted by a ton of police departments due to longevity of pistol’s metal construction.

The two issues I have is yes the hinged trigger but the reason is because I have a hard time telling the difference in pressure when I first apply pressure and when I’m letting off to reset which is all the way out on the old ones. @@almostontimehero5415 the S&w CSX (alloy framed) is only an ounce heavier than the sig P365 and for the capacity it’s lighter than the shield plus. With modern metallurgy/manufacturing methods and current design methods you can actually get alloy pistols that are as light or lighter than polymer.

I need to get this one for just the metal part at the end of the name 🤘

Are the rails in the lower frame the slide rides on, stainless or aluminum like the frame? If they are aluminum, wouldn't the polymer model be better for durability and longevity since it is molded in stainless?

I hope they come out with a long slide version of this: it would become my ghetto 2011.

I really like the videos you do and the M&P is my favorite. I have a gen one 40 cal that I love myself. It's the two tone model blued and FDE and I like the way it looks. Just something different with a polished barrel. Hang in there Eric it happens to all of us we will be here when you're ready and able to make another video. Thanks so much I love the New pistol!

Awesome video. I am very comfortable with the regular Polymer M&P PC 2.0 and where the standard trigger breaks, although, I have modified the sights. I saw an M2.0 one on sale in 10MM at the Piggly Wiggly in Chattanooga and snapped it up plus got a free DeSantis OWL holster. Not sure which optics suit me best since I've never used one on a pistol. The metal version would made the perfect service carry. 😀

Torn between this and a 365x/xl .... What do we think boys? I have a Glock, Taurus, Ruger,HK already, was looking for a different 9 double stack , the versatility of the sig is leaning me in that direction with the module system/Lego guns

Thanks for your review. Excellant shooting. Looks like a great gun. I have the Walther Q4 All Metal, so I'm not sure abut buying another metal striker. The MP is lighter, being aluminum and not steel.

So, I’ve got a birthday next week and guess I’m gonna have to make a trip to my favorite mom & pop shop. 3:5 or 4.” is my choice of barrels.

Automatic ammo delivery would be interesting...unfortunately that would mean keeping a card on file with them. And Mastercard and Visa are apparently now tracking all those transactions....so...yeah....

I am hoping that he tried to swap the slides and see how the metal frame runs with the ported 9L slide assembly.

Can you buy just the frame and trigger group , and if so, will the M&P 2.0 C.O.R.E. 4.25 slide fit it? Just a thought on a nice two tone option for a few less bucks.

Hi Eric, nice video as always. How would you compare it to the 2.0 performance center ported? You talked about comparison of your 1st gen and the 2.0 PC during your video of the 2.0 PC so i‘m curious how the new alloy one cpmpares to the 2.0 performance center. Thanks man and keep making such videos.

The real OG M&P is the heavy barrel Model 10. Also a very fine handgun.
