I just got a cintiq, and I highly recommend it for people who look to go pro. If you are just starting out, I recommend one of wacom's cheaper tablets, like the bamboo (what I started out on) so you can tell if digital art is your thing.

It's a Wacom Cintiq-- they're currently running at about 2 grand for this size--- the smaller ones are about i grand.

the person in this video is using a cintiq, which is essentially a monitor on which you can use a stylus on. the small mat youre talking about is probably a tablet, which is a lot cheaper than the cintiq in general, even though the prices vary. the cheapest wacom (brand) cintiq that i know of is the Cintiq 13HD which is to be released mid-april for $999 USD, whereas i got my wacom bamboo tablet (one of the mats) for around $60. id much rather a cintiq personally, but i just dont have the funds.

I THINK (not 100% sure) that it is the cintiq 24HD touch. but it can also be the cintiq 12WX. those models look like the one she/he is using but it could also be a non-cintiq version it's not realy clear to see.

Yes it is. If you're lucky you can get a cintiq like this on ebay for about $600 in used to mint condition... But there are other options like the wacom tablets which don't have a screen. It's harder to adapt but there are actually many professionals who can still create beautiful masterpieces by using cheap tablets. It eventually always comes down to skill that determines what kind of quality your artwork will attain.

These are the Wacom tablets and they are extremely expensive. Look up Huoin GT 220 or the Ugee 2150. Very competitive in performance and less than half the price. Probably about 500-600 dollars compared to the 1500 dollar Wacom!

I've got Wacom Tablet. And I'm a beginner at drawing lol I try my best but I get frustrated and stop. But then the next day or whenever I look at any illustration my motivation comes back on and try to draw again but fail hahahaha But when I see a pro drawing, I feel like there is no way I can do this. If I could I'd give up gaming for this!!!!!!!!
