It has been more than a year and no response yet, but now my friend want to apply for a student permit. Omg..That’s disgraceful and very disrespectful! This is putting peoples lives on hold and causing mental health problems for a lot of people! If they can’t process a visa in a timely fashion they should eliminate the need to have one, And let people travel wherever they want to go, When they want to go!!! This makes me very angry that the government has this kind of power over people!!!People in Canada are starting to protest at IRCC offices, as we are just as angry as the people waiting to come!!!

Hi Sir, I received my CoPR recently and planning to land this July. I earned my Ph.D. last month. my inquiry is: do I need to evaluate it with WES before I do my landing travel? for employment purposes? I already evaluated my bachelor's and my master's before creating my EE profile. I check my WES account and there was an option to upgrade my report. but then it leads me to start a whole new application. for the three degrees! I am in the field of architecture. and as far as I understand from the information I gathered I should seek accreditation for my credentials from the Canadian Architectural Certification Board. which I m also working on.. my inquiry in short: Do I need to include a recently earned degree in my WES report for employment in Canada? Or WES report is used for immigration only?

If you already have CoPR I don’t think there’s any benefit to having your new degree evaluated. Your employer may want to see it evaluated though, especially if you work for another university. I’m Not a lawyer, so just an opinion!

My advice for anyone still waiting for their PR application to be processed for more than an year, try luck by doing an upfront re-medical test and submit via webform. This might help to expedite the processing time of PR file. *** disclaimer- this is a personal experience and not any guideline to be followed *** Thank you

Hi, My spouse’s studies are scheduled to be over in Sept 2022. She is studying in 2 years Project Management (in IT) from Algoma university (DLI), Brampton. Post her studies , she will be eligible for 3 years PGWP. I am currently on SOWP working with a tech company (Toronto) in NOC 2173/2171. We have a 3 year old daughter who is with us on VV currently.
