The two wealthiest unions in the game went professional without warning several years ago. That’s what’s happened. Ireland went from being Grand Slam champions to whipping girls(?) overnight. Only two unions could afford it and everyone else is trying to catch up without the same sort of money to pay for it.

Miserable Did not see the game Saw it a minute or so after Everyone has has had the experience of a cricket score in rugby It really was minor school versus Blackrock Response required -whether this is accepting that Irish women do not want compete at this level ,that’s fine Might take 20 years for development as it did in men’s game-think back to 1990

Was thinking the same thing, it took the men around ten years after turning professional before they were regularly competing at the highest level. Turning professional is going in the right direction, but it’s going to take time for the gap between Ireland and the best in the world to narrow.

Missed tackles - yes but the English girls were twice as fast around the pitch - you can't coach speed. Irish women's team are an absolute joke of an outfit! Complete and utter waste of IRFU money!!!

A lot of why is this fixture even played ? well the Irish women are ranked 10th in the world, so not so shabby. Also Twickenham had 48.000 people in to watch the game, from a purely financial position, you want to be where the revenue is generated. That is the Womans Six Nations not some second or third tier European competition, yes you can win, but who will be watching, and the target is to have six teams who can win the title, playing top class rugby while they do it.
