As an irishman I'm bemused how often you reference my beautiful country to other places when clearly your looking at the original. Only playing you did us proud.

Ireland is beautiful ....if we only could get 3 months of good, guaranteed summer weather!!! You seem to have been lucky with the weather so far in this video trip. Looking forward to catching the rest of your journey along the Wild Atlantic Way. Great scenery and good video.

That particular region, the Beara peninsula, especially around Glengarriff, has a micro-climate so that it is sunnier than the rest of Ireland. I live in this region. Garnish Island - which appeared fleetingly in the video - is a sub-tropical island with Italianate gardens, while our village park is a bamboo park containing over a hundred species of tropical plants and trees. This is the point at which the Gulf Stream hits Ireland, hence the micro-climate.

Rule number one is...'Always take the Weather with You' 🤣🤣 🤣 So lucky.....Memories to last a lifetime as you say. Looks like a great tour. Have to say the scenery is as much a part of a tour as the riding for me, I get you want to see as much as you can within the time you've got, but the reason you stop earlier is to enjoy the evening and relax, find a decent pub / restaurant / or cook something and eat some proper food. I guess it's a good thing we are all different in what we look for in a tour.

Hi Paul, the weather Gods really were smiling on us and the memories are priceless. We manage a few nice pubs/meals later in the trip and yes, diversity in what we all look for keeps it all interesting. I have some epic tours in the diary of the next few months (in fact, I'm hitting the road again tomorrow) and some of it is going to be pretty remote and way outside of my usual comfort zone - I may even have to do some proper cooking!

Well done you two and thanks for the effort you put into making this film. Ireland is such a beautiful lace, identical to Scotland really. TBH I'd have called it quits late afternoon, too much for me, and you may brn yourself out with a combination of lack of quality sleep, poor diet and just plain knackered. Brilliant stuff though.

Thanks David, Ireland really is an amazing country and such a wonderful place to ride. The diet always seems to take a nose dive when I'm on the road but we manage some very nice meals later in the trip, although a good night's sleep always seems pretty elusive! So glad you are enjoying it!!

You don't often see a single track bridge with a passing area in the middle! Rhododendron has become a plague in parts of Cork and Kerry. I've lived here all my life, 50 years+, and I still haven't done the peninsulas of Cork ....

I had the same issue with not knowing what to film, because there was just so much ‘beautiful’ to take in. There’s worse problems to have I suppose 😂 I also mentioned how warm and friendly the people are. Amazing place, amazing people. Love it. We skipped most of the WAW in Cork so it was nice to see some of what we missed. Stunning 😎

I seriously could have left the camera running all the time… totally, beautiful, stunning place. Yep, definitely worse problems to have. Currently having the same ‘problem’ riding the NC500! 😂 In a few weeks time I’ll be heading to North Africa- I’m guessing it will be the same there too! Thanks for watching! 😁

As a fan of travel in Ireland (all the way from Australia) and the four fabulous peninsulas in that vicinity particularly, I too was struck by the way you repeatedly said how scenery in Ireland reminded you of Cornwall or somewhere in the UK. You probably would better understand how that sounds, if some Irishman kept likening iconic British scenes to places elsewhere. Better to enjoy a place just for itself perhaps, rather than because it reminds you of somewhere else, as mentioned below, with the tendency for that to sound as though the other place was somehow more worthy. And given the terrible history of the British in Ireland... I have enjoyed immensely travelling in both countries, several times, just for themselves. Both are beautiful to pass through, and to spend time in, particularly to 'Antipodean eyes'. But not because they are 'redolent' of another locality. A bit confusing when you refer to Mizen Head at one point, when you are on the next peninsula north (Beara). Mizen Head not always visible, and was in dense fog when I was last there. A tricky run in the last bit, with vehicles appearing just metres away out of the dense fog. And 'by the way', if we click on the 'Meltdown' episode, it keeps taking us back to this one, which I already watched yesterday. Something a bit wrong there. Thanks for the videos nonetheless. Western Ireland viewed from a motorcycle is easy to watch, and an enjoyable reminder of time spent there.

Thank you for point that out Pat. To hear Ireland referred to as a reminder (mere sub-strata) of Britain is probably as patronizing as it's possible to get, especially in the context of history. People need to think before they speak.

Hi, yes, I’m very pleased with it - it seems to cut down on wind noise and is a convenient way of getting an external mic into the set up. Thanks for watching! 😊
@outoftheshed8407
@outoftheshed8407 Жыл бұрын
@TwoWheeledDreamer I've found that if you set it off recording, after a couple of minutes plug it in to an external battery pack ( 2.1A) and it will run all day and you will still be able to use the mic socket. It might depend on which version of software you have installed.
