Man this hurt. We played poorly; no apparent strategy, and seemed to give up in the last quarter. Definitely a wake up call. A side note for the argumentative online types. I am an Irish man living in Ireland, amongst other rugby fans. Literally NO other Irish person I have ever met candidly calls us the best team in the world. Nobody here actually thinks that. That kind of confidence is not in our nature, it's all just pundits and media hype stirring the pot. We know exactly where we stand with the heavy hitters. Well done New Zealand!

@@fidget2020 True. Look, we are (usually) a great team that can beat anyone on our day. Agreed. Gibson smith (Irish 9) delivers it fast. I’d say that’s the standout feature of Irish rugby . great flow to watch , unfortunately it didn’t connect enough times tonight. But when it did. @dion663515 күн бұрын
@hansneggs agreed. Roigard is more like Aaron Smith with speed, and Ratima looked more like Perenara with painfully slow ball and was found absent a few times at the ruck because he was caught our of position (in rucks)... he is a great talent, though, and will get better with time and experience. The ABs left the ball sitting in the ground unguarded way too much for my liking. They didn't contest the ruck as vigorously as Ireland either and conceded 50/50 ball a lot... but all that, and they still got a well ground out win, so congrats ABs

Big improvement over the year on defence for the All Blacks so credit to the players & coaching groups for that, two games in a row now where they shutout most of the attacking movements from the opposition. Aumua stepped up well, though was helped by Ireland's weird decision to not put any pressure on and McKenzie mostly controlled things very very well. Ratima needed more protection at the ruck, and Roigaard's passing was way too high - though McKenzie managed it well. Ireland got nothing from their crowd, sat on their hands like Kiwis. So far, much better than I feared the ABs would go on this tour!

Really enjoyed that match. I might be alone but reckon most Irish mistakes were due to nz pressure. They weren't getting a roll on, struggled in the scrum and most importantly, didn't get the dominance in possession they need for that continuity play. Ireland upset NZs ruck speed which was great, but couldn't convert that into possession. Very happy with NZ. Extremely pragmatic (for NZ), a couple of poor kicks and the quick lineout aside. NZ fwds did the job, dmac was outstanding.

@@Camcolito just saw on another channel Alfred Reynolds mention a lack of cohesion. That might be rustiness, which would be fair. I think at least part of that lack of cohesion was from a lack of possession. NZ denied Ireland from having the ball thru scrum dominance and winning lineouts against the throw, so once Ireland did get the ball, every pass became more and more important. NZ defence is remarkably underrated as well. They haven't given up many points this year. It's just my opinion tho

Well done NZ. You shut us down well at the breakdown and the defensive line left us with no real ideas. I guess we defended well but you can't sustain that much pressure for a whole game and hope to win. We were pretty awful in most areas and lacking in ideas or a plan B. That's not to take anything away from the AB's, they showed up and stopped us from playing. As Mark says, it was just a very strange game. I'm really liking the way the AB forward pack is shaping up, there's toughness, precision, depth and smarts. If Frizell comes back I think we're going to have a weaponized loose forward unit to match the Boks because tonight showed again the way Razor is getting Ardie to play, incredible work around the breakdown and fringes with Sititi now the main carrier as well as being able to float. It was pressure from our forwards which caused the problems for the greens, not Irish rustiness, I'm not buying into that, they play together a lot in club stuff and are an established unit. Ireland are a very good team, I just don't think as good as many people think, in the Six Nations this year there were signs of problems. France will be the game where we can measure where the ABs really are, not easy as third tough game in 3 weeks but it seems the Razor gang has really thought this through. So yeah, a very solid win and while our back play still needs a lot of work, again I say our forwards are looking bloody good,

I think the Ire suffered a lot with that one forced change after an Hia in the front row, but they looked well off their best. AB's still moving the ball around and, despite a yellow, got the job done.Ab's looked threatening, Ire not so much. A good win. Well done.

Once this ABs side gets a bit more experience and change the midfield combo which isn't working I think it will be up there with the best AB sides. The power & skill in our forwards is exceptional at the moment and some of them are just starting there career at this level.

I would like to see the stats on how much game time was spent waiting for scrums to set. I know it was exacerbated by the number of knock ons, but c'mon. Why are they not applying the clock and cracking down on this?
@joshuahetherington516113 күн бұрын
Ben O'Keffe should've reffed the scrum. I'm Irish, we were under the pump from the ABs. Penalize us and move the game on. He kept resetting, frustrating watch

great chanel love your stats! As an Irish man lets look at a few things. Remember were playing the Greatest rugby nation in the world! The BLACKS! Biggest cheer from fans was a respect for the haka From then on the crowd fell silent. I'm wondering why? were in the game (yes I'm Irish) weird you say!! I'm thinking someone must have Died for the crowd a full stadium to be so quite. Then it happens !!!!!! 60 mins a lineout !!! We can still win!! Then a moment the camera pans to the crowd!!! and sure enough Billy big balls is bringing 4 pints to his mates?? WHY?????? Cause he doesnt give a shit!!!!! The worst support ever !!!! Congrats BLACKS
@altazuma15 күн бұрын
I thought the line speed from the AB's was good and with a less structured Ireland, resulted in the isolation, knock-ons etc. It always looked like the AB's had them covered at the gain line and Ireland were unable to generate any real momentum.

Man im proud! After the dicipline of last week i thought ireland would pounce and punish. But well done to the team, they bloody fixed it. The scrum being a weapon wasnt the case, but there was no moving our pack! Ireland mauls going nowhere was awesome to see. Well done Aumua, silenced my doubts. defensively we just had a hold em out and wait for Ardie, Sititi and aumua to steal it. Ratima can learn a lot about dealing with pressure, but despite being a tough one for him i dont think he should lose too much confidence. Very well done!

what a game awesome flow going back and forth the ref a bit weird on his calls and the ruck my god the ruck was not managed well by nic, but also ireland rust i think let them down in the end, 2 down 1 to go who would of thought all blacks apart from be in this position. really looking forward to your world rankings vid when you get a chance to get to it especially with all the rugby this weekend awesome All Blacks Win, another great video man chur chur

Bok fan here, I was worried about the ABs for the first 25 minutes as they were not themselves but after that the ABs we know started to reappear. This is not the finished article but it’s getting there again. Ireland were good in parts but generally looked off their usual pace a little. Welcome back ABs we have missed you.

That was some of the best ruck work I’ve ever seen with the all blacks. I thought Scott Barrett had one of his best matches this year. DMac is a legend Hope all his haters saw that one. Aumua is a complete beast. Savea and Sititi are a h£ll of a combo

I am loving the extra theatre created by the haka in the last two weeks. Great to see both teams laying down and accepting a challenge. Ireland didn’t really back it up this week like England last week but All Blacks fans must surely be happy about their team’s performance this in this game
@johnstevens28215 күн бұрын
In sport, the Irish prefer to be the plucky chip on the shoulder underdogs. They were strong favourites ( a couple of the English and Irish bookies had the All Blacks 2/1 ). Weighed down, by the burden of expectation?
@JHPT-CPT14 күн бұрын
Highly motivated with all the pre match build up. It’s good to see there is some dog fight or as Mike says mongrel in some of the players. It was so weird watching a game with silence for kicks. All cred to the ABs for the pressure and DMac for being on point. I think Ireland were not composed too much emotion for the build up week clouded their usual performance. Once again not to take anything away from ABs they did what was required well done 👏
