I’ve never used a separate eye cream. Neither did my mom. She taught me to use my ring finger as well. She used the old Oil of Olay in a glass jar. It was pink and the jar had a black lid. She also grew an aloe vera plant in the back yard and would apply that to her face. She never went in the sun and had great skin. The big shocker? She didn’t wash her makeup off at night

Good genes i suppose. Though i still do not recommend sleeping with your make up on. Not everyone is as gifted and lucky as you guys :)

If she never went in the sun, how did she grow and harvest the aloe vera plant in the back yard?
@SoCalRegisteredNurse Жыл бұрын
@@alkaholic4848 She never purposefully laid in the sun is what I’m saying. We grew up in So Cal and you can just plant aloe in the yard

So basically if you have sunscreen then you can use it for the eyes so it's two and one no need of eye cream. If dark circles are your only skin problem around the eyes. Good day!

Doc, this content of yours is heaven-sent! I'm so torn on whether or not to buy an eye cream. But after watching your video I know now that I should get one. I tend to get super dry around the eye area and my derma-prescribed facial moisturizer is super basic lang (since I have sensitive skin) and I don't think it helps my eye area. If its not too much to ask, what eye cream products can you recommend?
@irenegaile2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words. To be honest I use whatever creams for my face on my eye area, however when I do travel and my skin around the eye area gets a bit more dry, i use an additional eye cream to to moisturize it and the brands that ive tried are --- cetephil, avene, ZO, kiehls, peter thomas roth and neostrata. For me, go with a brand you trust with products that have worked well on your skin in the past. Each skin is different and what worked for me might not work for you.
@shierlymayeusebio74332 жыл бұрын
@@irenegaile thank you very much for replying to me in such comprehensive manner. Will try out cetaphil since it worked for me in the past. Thanks, Doc! 💛

How about sa mga Milia prone sa eye area Doc? Do you think they need to avoid eye creams?
@irenegaile3 жыл бұрын
Milia are made of keratin (skin) that got trapped or did not shed properly. There are individuals prone to developing Milia but it is said that trauma, use of occlusive ointments and frequent rubbing of the eye area can contribute to their formation.

Doc comedogenic po ba ang petrolatum?
@irenegaile3 жыл бұрын
Petroleum jelly is in itself non-comedogenic BUT, being an occlusive, I don't recommend my patients with oily and acne-prone skin to lather it all over the face because it may lead to breakouts. It is excellent in sealing in moisture keeping the skin hydrated. Petroleum jelly is something I often have handy for my lips and the tips of my fingers when they get too dry from washing or using alcohols/hand sanitizers.

Hi po, doc! Puede po ba gumamit ang mga 13-15 yrs old ng 'Jumiso Yes I Am Toner AHA 5%'? Salamat po:)
@irenegaile3 жыл бұрын
I honestly think that 13-15 year olds dont need AHA yet unless they are experiencing mild acne and will benefit from exfoliation. Yung ganyan na age kc hindi pa kailangan ng exfoliation kc ung skin turnover nila or ung pag palit ng balat is regular pa.
