One week back I switched to iridium on my 2018 Yamaha Fazer V2, so far changes are better cold start (quick start), improved throttle response, reduced vibration almost now its butter smooth, mileage is yet to check.

another benefit of iridium spark plug is spark gap tolerance is higher which means large spark results in better or guaranteed combustion of fuel. conventional sparkplug sometimes doesn't combust the fuel even if there's a spark due to tight and small spark tolerance gap :)

The only benifit is; the iridium coating on the electrode is more resistant to spark erosion and the plug lasts longer. They will not affect mileage at all. You really only use iridium plugs if you're ignition system is designed for them. Otherwise no use or performance change. If you had run a tuner, or fuel controller then yes you could see some positive things from a set of plugs, but as is, if there is any benefit it will be very small and I doubt you will notice in the seat of your pants. Most people that try to outsmart engineers just waste money and end up with a loud, poorly running machine that will become the next owner's problem. Just put the exact plug the manufacturer recommends. Can’t go wrong that way.

If it's true then y modern engine still use conventional spark plugs!!! They use low viscous engine oils say 0w20's and 0w16 to minimize oil drag and do all the R&D to run that engine on tight clearence. Put VVT on Inlet and Exhaust valve lift Use two fuel injector for each cylinder.. Use smaller capacity engines and maximize its power with turbocharger ... Why these companies do all these if they can achieve 5% fuel mileage by simply swapping conventional spark plugs with irdium ! This 5% will be a big number for them .

ഞാൻ എൻ്റെ 2015 മോഡൽ RE തണ്ടർബേർഡിൽ NGK iridium plug ഇട്ടു.. plug മാറ്റിയിട്ട് 60000km ഓടി. Misfiring ഒന്നും ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല... ആദ്യത്തെ OEM plug 15000km ആയപ്പോ ഒരന്നം അടിച്ചുപോയി. മൈലേജ്, പവർ വലിയ വ്യത്യാസം തോന്നിയില്ല.. cold start better ആയിട്ടുണ്ട്..
