The best version we made at a bar i use to work at was with a little amount of condensed milk in the cream. It made it very smooth in texture and just made the taste very rich and full. Have you ever tried that? Beside that.

I haven’t been blessed with a love of whiskey bourbon and scotch so a good amount of cocktails I don’t have but I do make an Irish coffee that uses Rum instead of whiskey, lovely stuff.

Any reason behind adding water before the coffee to the brewer? Only ask because I'm a coffee nerd and the recepie that I follow (James Hoffman's) you add the coffee to the brewer first. I know it is only a small change but small changes with coffee can have a big impact on the end product.

Doesn’t JH’s recipe also put the water in first? I think it’s to speed up the draw down time
@Paradiddler452 жыл бұрын
Hoffman's Clever recipe adds the coffee last. It greatly reduces drawdown time.

The comments are correct with drawdown time. When you add the other ingredients, both methods yield great results so either would be fine!

I love the glassware used for the cold one. Any chance you could share where that’s from??

I have been drinking these every weekend for the last month. You turned me on to muscovado sugar in a previous video. I got the medium and the dark. Loved the golden, then tried the dark…🤎. I use a little less sugar in the coffee, but add a little crème de cacao to the cream which finishes it off perfectly (to my taste, and the taste of many attendees to our way too early World Cup party). Going to wait for the weather to warm up and dive into that cold version… Cheers!

“The hyper chiller has chambers of frozen water” You mean like ice? 😅
@DANFELLOWScoffeecocktails2 жыл бұрын
Excellent observation 😂 albeit the water is frozen inside the chambers so saying it is ice may confuse people into thinking you add ice cubes. But yes, frozen water is indeed ice!
