As a citizen of culturally devoid America that dreams of going to Ireland one day, and trying learn trad, OAIM is a godsend. Thank you for putting these lessons out. I'll be paying for the courses soon. Such high quality.

French is the only accent that throws in its own words in english and you don't get mad about it. Great video by the way 😃👍

IrishMusicAcademy would you please help me get connected to your 50 song challenge? Whatever I'm doing to download and print the pieces plus lessons isn't working-- maybe I have to try on my computer instead of phone--- don't know.

I have just become interested in ITM, and despite having played guitar for some years I am struggling with playing ITM. Partly because of the unusual rhythm and partly because the chords I assume will fit often don't quite sound right. Hopefully I shall get there with such help as this. Thank you.

3:40 it's funny how you say "the same amount of stregth" and inmediately after that you play it with very varying strenght

Hello, Just started with Irish music.What i have learned upto now is the DADGAD tuning and a few chord shapes. Could you help me with learning scales both major and minor usuing the above mentioned alternative tuning and give me tips regarding improvisation. Thank you for the lesson.Helped a lot.

The verse bit uses the chords D, C, G and Am while the chorus part is based around D, G and A (major this time instead of minor), from what I can figure out from Planxty's recording of it anyway. Pierre Bensusan does a nice rendition of it fingerstyle.

You do realize that not everyone who plays Irish Trad plays in DADGAD. A lot play standard and Drop D.
