I was struck by the photo of the Monarch butterfly clinging to a flowering aster plant, as neither is native to Ireland; though they’re not an uncommon sight here in southern Ontario, and elsewhere throughout North America, during the summer months.

The article you reviewed is similar in quality to articles created by writing teams. The sales pitch email suggest they can write quality articles, relevant to your field, using relevant keywords, to elevate your SEO ratings etc.etc. I think there is usually something in there on how well articles are researched, by that point I have pressed the flame icon selecting it to be binned.

Fascinating why the Dullahan is the number one there? When I was in the Blue Mountains in Australia about 13 years ago, a busking aborigine man, in full aborigine make up etc., as he had to be for busking there, came up to me and asked where I lived. I was vague to start, Ireland, Co. Sligo, then near Ballymote, as he wanted to know more, then eventually revealed I live near Carrowkeel. His eyes lit up as he had been on a cultural exchange visit to Ireland that included Carrowkeel. The tour guide there told them a story of the Dullahan of Carrowkeel, so the aborigine man asked if I could enlarge on what he was told? Sadly, I had to tell him I had not heard of that one but had a heard a vague story about a horse roaming around with no head, but I never use the story as, so far, it is too vague for me. He then told me that folklore and myth stories about horses get the attention of aborigines in Australia as they never saw horses until white men arrived, so horses are symbols of bad things to them now. More interesting, is him saying that colonialism in Australia thrashed out most of their native stories and culture in ways that seemed more vulgar than the Brit imperials suppressing the Irish culture. He then told me that aborigines are touring the world to places of folklore to help stir the memories of their own folklore and re-build their own tradition again. I feel there are two ways of looking at that. One could be spoken as being a theft of folklore to rebuild their own, or that folklore is really similar around the world but has different landscapes and characters. What they could pick up is either total shite or something very close to what they lost?

Great part of the problem with the searches is Google's goddamned algorithm. It will always give preference to those sites that sell stuff, be it literal products, or, in this case, tourist bullshite. It's really frustrating.

I am from Greece,and I like that names from your mythology can be found among the people. For exampleNiamh was a princes blond and very beautiful. This name can be found in some girls The same is in Greece there are names from our mythology given to some people. Hi Lora. I had a question that was spurred by an older video, but i wanted to pose it on your more recent video because somehow i feel it more likely to get seen. I'm an American born Irishman. Unfortunately my families brief history in America starts with immigrant great grand parents that left no way of tracking their families back home in Ireland, so my dream of become an Irish citizen is all but crushed... not the point, sorry. My question. I feel a strong pull from the Dagda and have claimed him as my Patron, but i also feel a strong pull and even stronger presence of the Morrigan. I dont yet know what my position with either truly is, but is it possible that i can claim both as my patron and matron without offending either. I know their history with each other is full of collaborations and turmoils. Unfortunately the Irish pagan practices arent common place in the states so im reaching out to you. Thank you.

Hey there Kedo, I am clearly NOT Lora, but I am an American student of the Irish Pagan School, and a dedicant of The Dagda who has also worked with The Morrigan. Based on what I have learned of the lore and from IPS, The Morrigan and The Dagda are actually a married couple who work well with each other. Based on my own experiences and shared community stories, The Morrigan and The Dagda often trade followers between them, depending on the needs of all involved! Many have a place for both in their homes. Some do get claimed by one god or another, but I have never felt any animosity between them, personally. Maybe friendly rivalry though. ;) We often encourage folks to speak directly to the gods themselves, via prayer, meditation or journeying, and ask them what sort of relationships they want from us, and tell them what sort of relationship we want from them. Interact with them daily and build a relationship with each, and these answers will come =)

I'm not an Irishwoman and you're not an Irishman. We're both Irish-American. There's a big difference. We didn't grow up in Irish culture and can't claim that. It's wonderful to reconnect to those roots. Claiming to be Irish isn't respectful to people who live in Ireland and grew up in the culture. You don't have to have recent ancestry to emigrate to Ireland, it's just one path. If that's really what you want, seek the other avenues to get there

Heya, love your content and really enjoyed watching you react to the misleading pool of Irish internet folklore. Speaking of which, I was wondering if you'd do a reaction to a channel called "Overly Sarcastic Productions". Despite what the name may imply, the creators of this channel seem to go to a lot of trouble finding primary source material and accurate information for their videos.
