Just had an emergency alarm go off in the building. 1:30 am. I go from sound asleep to fumbling for what I need to leave the room. As a bright light blinks and an annoying beeping is making it so I can’t think. Charge down 8 flights of stairs (or is it 16?, I think you count this as 8). Nice fresh air in the parking lot with all of our closest friends 😂 and then walking back up 8 flights of stairs once the firemen have cleared the building and verified it was a false alarm. After my middle of the night aerobic exercise, here I am trying to go back to sleep. 🥱 Did I mention ALL of our closest friends also got up and exercised with us? Cool, cool. This time around I have everything I need right by the door in case I have to make another quick exit. Cause well………………. Put it this way. I couldn’t have very well just charged out the door as I was. There were a couple of things I had to put on first. Just sayin’. All those friends I was speaking of would have been a whole lot closer had I not done the aforementioned. 🫣 Why have I never thought about this before. 🙄 It is 2:30 now. Could take a bit to get to sleep now. I am thankful it was a false alarm. Here is a siren for whoever wants it. There were several out there but I only had time to snag one of them. 🚨 Honestly it should probably go to Lana for the pants comment, but y’all will have to fight for it. The firemen were too dressed up for me to make an assessment as to whether we have our next models for our calendar. Barry could pose with them. Maybe for one of the summer months. I know, I know we got one of those taken care of with the bikini and all. We will figure this out. At least I can say good morning to Barry and Eveline. Good morning Barry and Eveline!!

I recorded this video before Christmas Day but decided to hold out and post it as my last video of 2020. It has been a difficult year for us all, some more than others. It was because of time off from singing that I decided to create a KZbin channel back in April but it took me over a month to get up the courage to post anything. I’m so happy I did. Ever since this one was released, I can't listen to it without tearing up, especially after this crazy year...which is still going on for many of us. This may very well be the most heartfelt song PTX has ever recorded. More like "emotional" over sentimental. No matter how big of an obstacle we are facing in our lives, this song reminds us to be thankful for all the small things, and the people that helped keep us moving forward. I can relate to sentimental, not only because of the visons we see in the video reminding us of what Christmas looks like with people we love, (memories, huh?) but my attachment with the song because of the lyrics and you. If I could bottle my whole life up and pick out the roughest part of it, it was your videos, your goofy laughs and huge smile and the women that I met through you, that got me through it. So yes, some attachment there. So, Thank you! These lyrics mean a lot to me because it is what I feel in my heart and would say to the people that helped me cope.

This is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. Each lyric is so perfect and so fitting for this past year. It makes me cry like a baby every time I listen to it. It touched me so deeply and made me think of my Hubby and kids and this year we got through that I had the lyrics printed out and mounted in frames with a small message of my own at the end, and had them framed then gave it to each of them for Christmas. Scott and Mark said it all perfectly, exactly how I feel about my family. My way of thanking them for this horrible year they got me through.

Barry ☘️, as always, I loved this reaction video. PTX continues to knock it out of the park. And now, with original music. And hey, the Irish man not only picked a great song for us but kept us entertained to boot. I really like this song. The lyrics and the melody. As always, lovely, lovely cello playing from Kevin. I don’t think I have mentioned this before but with stringed instruments, I physically feel them in my chest. There is just something about the vibration of rosined horse hair on strings that produces a visceral response a lot of the time. If I am more than just listening to something in the background, I tend to not only listen to music with my ears but really feel it. Not sure if this happens to everyone. The melody is beautiful. Definitely makes you think about all the people who helped you get through the past year. And yes, yes and yes. This is the perfect transition from Thanksgiving to the Christmas season. @@ItsmeBarry As promised. Sharing a few notes from my walk in the woods this Christmas morning. Something felt just a little more beautiful this morning. 12/25/22 18 degrees This morning, the rays of sun streaming through the columns of trees lit up the woods as if it were a holy sanctuary with no ceiling, boundless to the heavens, numinous and begging reverence. Moisture that has escaped the confines of the soil has pushed itself up in fragile glittering ice columns, transforming the forest floor into a magical fairyland that crunches under my feet. Walking on the frozen leaves makes a sound as if they are made of the thinnest layer of glass. The surface of the water now still and frozen reflects the suns rays. A small flock of blackbirds on the ice finding little areas where they can get water. Standing in the warmth of the sun, I appreciate these moments of solitude. Skin red from the cold but it is just the surface. Aliveness. The water has receded leaving a layer of ice with swooping, crystalized patterns the beauty of which exceeds the greatest masterpieces of men.
