He is playing whistles and flutes since he was 7 years of age. His father, his uncle and his grandfather were all flute players and they were in a fife and drum band in Ballaghdereen, County Roscommon. He won under 16 all Ireland flute championships and to do that you need a lot of good tutoring. He s 67 now. The benefits of starting young, application and persistence.

@of53rd you may know them as slightly different names but this is definitely Matt Molly's setting of Crowley's Reel and I am about 100% sure that the 2nd tune is the Roscommon Reel

@DJFozter This tune is commonly known as Master Crowley's (as well as various other names, including 'Mrs Patterson's Slipper'). There are also two other reels (almost always played as a pair) known as Master Crowley's. (Presumably Mrs. Patterson must have another slipper as well, as they usually come in pairs.)
