Every town in Ireland has this problem. Hence the height restrictions at entry. Then everybody else suffers. Remember Bundoran! I seen one Good friday Bundoran was taken over by big jeeps and caravans, a couple of hundred! Their firsd big weekend's business gone. That was when the kerbs and height barriers went up. Unfortunately the area had a boundary hedge onto a friends field! It cost him literally thousands to clean up after them! The smell was terrible, So next time you feel sorry for them, you try dodging the rocks and stones thrown by their little angels, their language would make a stoker blush!

When these traveller people turn up with their caravans and park up anywhere they want and usually dump loads of rubbish all over, its a nightmare to get them off the land and expensive. The police can't help as its a civil matter 😫 The last time we had them around us it took over a month to remove them legally and cost the council about £12k just to clear the land of rubbish that they left, i would have just got a big industrial sized forklift truck and moved them myself 😁 Hopefully you'll be alright now 🤞🍻🫶

Gald you got a new power inverter. The travellers thankfully left without causing havoc. They try to get, their own way causing bad press, but screen discrimination. When in fact the land they take over the landowner should, be shouting discrimination, due to the inordinate bureaucracy to heve the trespassers removed. If you trespassers, on a person's property, the Law, should mandate the forceful removal by the Police or other agencies. Fair play to the landowners, no nonsense approach in ensuring his rules apply.

The people were incredibly friendly, the pubs were as delight and the city was such a sight to behold. When I told my mum (bless her) that I would be going from Dub to Belfast, she made me phone her every night I was there. Belfast of course still does have its sectarian problems, but I dont give a toss which church someone goes to ..... its a wonderful place.

Cars revving and racing along the public footpath and cross the field, loud arguments, rubbish everywhere, several bicycles stolen and stored in the bushes, young lads picking fights. That story will be told very differently by the travellers when they go back to their hive. Biggest victim mentality ever they got. Most dont mention that they trash the place they stay, make life hell for everyone around them, and leave literal feaces & rubbish everywhere when they've done enough damage and move on. Obviously, not all are the same, but 90% end this way.

I’ve never seen your channel before. But I’m a Yorkshire girl who moved to Northern Ireland 20 odd years ago. I now live in Whitehead… the amount of times my car has been hit by those bloody waves I couldn’t tell you, and my windscreen cracked with stones and crabs 😡 Belfast is grand for the most part… you should have done the Crumlin Rd jail tour for sure. Just stay on the right side of the peace line and you’ll be ok! Black cab tours are run by republicans so you’d probably not have the best experience, especially with the English accent. But I love this country so much, I don’t think I could leave now. I came here when I was 33 with four kids in tow, they’ve all made themselves a wonderful life here and don’t remember much of England. But whatever you heard about avoiding Belfast isn’t really true, and at Christmas the city hall is lit up and it looks beautiful and the Christmas market is held in its grounds which is always a fantastic experience, especially with a glass or two of the warm mulled wine to warm you up. I hope that overall you enjoyed your ulster stay 😊 if not then find someone who can help you in finding safe places to park (we also have a camper) and safe places to visit 😊 enjoy your onward journey!!

We have rats on our back garden, they arrived when the lady next door had a shed took down. I've seen 2 of them one was the size of a blackbird the other was a bit bigger than a 12 week old kitten. It was the biggest I've ever seen. My son has checked everywhere and can't find them but he has found several holes made by them, so he's blocked them up and put bricks all around the bottom of the fence and hedges. Then today I found a hole dug through the garden soil part, it's about 4 inch wide and very deep, so my son blocked that off too. The Mr the other side of us said there was one near his dustbin and it didn't look very well so he put it out of its misery. Xx

Travellers must be ripping that so many country folk are now also living out of campers and caravans. They were the pioneers remember!

We can't stop on camp sites due to discrimination and prejudice. But you're right it should be the same rules for everyone! @NorthernersonTour

Where did you put your pup while you were in Wetherspoons? Just wondering if you smuggled him in as I got told to leave a Wetherspoons because I had my dogs with me (outside) while I went in to order! They'll let anyone in spoons but not dogs!

Hi mark and Lisa how Belfast has changed for the better since the 80s, the last and only time I’ve been there was my tour of duty when I was in the army, I started and completed my basic training in 1980 and did my 1st tour in the summer of 1981, in all I did 3 tours as the 1st tour was compulsory and tours after that were voluntary but with overseas pay and an extra Bar with Northern Ireland inscribed on to it, and they went on next to your first one on your medal ribbon,

You have been so unlucky in Kilkenny and now in Newry! Graignamannon is just a short distance from Kilkenny and what a stunning aire @ 14.50euros, pity you missed it. There are also stunning park ups around Strangford Lough. I hope you have time to visit that area before you go back to the UK.

Who said don’t go to Belfast. I’m from the republic and I think it’s one of the friendliest clean cities you could visit I’d go there before Dublin that’s another story
