I've listened to Lora about The Morrigan a lot and it was really interesting to listen to you too. Would love more videos on the topic of bards and poems in ancient Irish society as well as your anti-hero view of cu chulainn.

GRMA, John. The more I learn about the Morrighan, the more fascinating she becomes. I'm also coming to appreciate that the Irish deities are multitaskers. I'm so used to the Greco-Roman setup of "This deity does this, that one has this job, and over there that deity has their own specialty."

I'm currently deep diving all the videos I see of yall's. These are all so fascinating and I am learning so much about them. They've been wonderful for me and improving my life in different ways. Pushing me hard. Harsh, but kind. The Morrigan I mean.

Loved this talk, and I just have to say that your shirts (which I just looked up) are fantastic! Honestly, this is the first time I've seen a deity shirt that I've liked. I fully intend on purchasing when I can - they actually look like something I'd wear!

Thank you, Jon! This was an excellent message, and I needed it today. I agree with you about Her protecting Her pack. I'm one of the humans who needs a divine mother, but She has always made it clear to me that, while I belong to Her and She'll protect me fiercely, She's does not want to be a mother. And I don't want to be a mother either, so I understand completely. The Goddess Miluchradh offered to be Mamaí for me. The relationship feels so much healthier because Miluchradh volunteered eagerly, and I'm not forcing anyone into a position that doesn't appeal to them. Thank you so much for sharing your information and heart with us. I see your work, and it matters.

I love these videos. As a follower of Brigid I have a question about the Dagda. If I made Brigid angry over a fight we got into can I call on him or will he despise me for life?
@IrishPaganSchool
@IrishPaganSchool 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Stephanie. To date I have never experiences any 'hateful' energy with the Dagda. Anger, sure but almost always directed at injustice or unnecessary hurts. Personally I don't see him being the type of deity to 'despise' at all. As I talk about in other videos, our connection with deity is a relationship, and as we all know, any relationship worth having is worth investing in...and yes that does mean working through our conflicts where possible. ;) As for approaching The Dagda for support and maybe even a gentle intervention with his daughter... I wouldn't see that as impossible, in fact it might be very beneficial to have him onside. As ever though, we need to start the work in ourselves, understand out own 'why' and 'how' before we bring immortal energy and perspectives into the mix ;) Hope this answers your question GRMA Jon O'Sullivan

@@IrishPaganSchool Thank you for the reply. I was worried he would be angry with me for fighting with her. I had to work a little to win her back. I am still unsure if this is the right path for me so I don't want to be making things needlessly complicated by fighting with the goddess I felt calling to me.

Just to be the resident internet weirdo, I have been told I am the daughter of the Morrigan, and everything you said about the Morrigan as a mother is spot on. Not exactly a hands-on mom, and basically put me through Her version of the Hunger Games for the privilege of saying 'I am the daughter of the Morrigan '. Also, your story explains why everyone, including 'Dad' is trying to give me a post-partum abortion upon learning whose daughter I am. I put these thoughts in a special locked box in my brain and they stay there. Don't bother saying, that doesn't make any sense. I know.

My experiance is talk, establish a relationship - the main question is what are what are you trying to accomplish and in what time frame . If you want something is your cause just in her eyes, are you showing respect and what are you willing to give/ show up for, A tip apply for membership in a facebook group called the Morrigan’s cave ( also IPS run) and ask the question again you might also want to check out Lora ó Brians old clips on her youtube channel ( IPS co-funder) on the Morrigan and how to approach her and know it’s her -though this right now is the main channel for this type of content.
