For it's size, it wears quite big! It is a great feature of this watch since it is, probably, the best dress watch on it's price range due to it's design balance. No date, no major complications and doesn't overtake your wrist while using a suit. Great video!

I must agree this watch is totally gorgeous and the white/silver over the light brown strap is a beautiful look. I am 62 which will please your mates! The only possible issue for me with an 8.5” wrist ( 16cms) is the small size. I don’t feel 60 seconds over 24 hours is bad for a non COS manual ETA movement. But then accuracy in this price range of non-digital is not what I seek. This was good enough for me to subscribe on first visit, please keep it up. Bob England

There is a 38mm version, white dial. I just tried them today and went for the 34mm as I have a 6.5 inch wrist. But both were wearable and looked fantastic, hard choice.

I got this with a milanese mesh strap one month ago and have been wearing it every day since. Try it on a strap like that, it works very well and completely changes the look. The sterile inorganic metal mesh fits with the Bauhaus look imo.

@@Irishsilverstack No prob. ETAs are great movements, but a minute a day is bad for even the crappiest of movements. Perhaps there is something wrong with the mechanics of it, but it could also have been magnetized. If it's the latter, that should take a watchmaker about 5 seconds to fix. BTW, I love the size and that it's handwinding.

@@Irishsilverstack my guess is poor quality control or it somehow got magnetized. Great that it's regulated, though. As I said, the movement is very dependable.

It's a lovely watch. You ask if others have found it to run slow. I've had one for 18 years, which I love, and which has just died (no fault of the watch's), and it ran basically a minute slow a day, but exactly how slow it would run seemed to vary with how close it came to getting completely wound down.
@Irishsilverstack4 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks, handwinding watches are complicated. I sent mine to Junghans to have a look at it and it wasn't running that slow, I may have been me not winding it enough, anyway its fixed and running beautifully now. You got yours serviced didn't you`?
@peterjohnson55862 жыл бұрын
They should make hand-winding versions of their 38 mm date and chrono versions. Especially the chrono. If they can get the Max Bill chrono to 13 mm thickness, it would sell like hotcakes.

An ETA 2801-2 losing a minute day is well out of spec. Also I noticed the seconds hand didn't stop as it should when you adjusted the time. I'm sorry to say, either there is something seriously wrong with the movement or, it is not in fact a genuine 2801 in the first place.
@Irishsilverstack4 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for the comment , yeah I've sent it to be fixed, they fixed it last week and are sending it back should have it this week. I thought that about the second having to stop when you pull out the crown, but I've seen some that do and some that don't. I don't know, if you could shed some light ?
@DJogdog4 жыл бұрын
@@Irishsilverstack Not all mechanical movements have this feature, but the ETA 2801 certainly does. If you Google the name of a movement you should be able to find websites that list the specs and they will mention "hacking" or "stop seconds" when the movement has this feature.
