Can the i4 be instructed to stay off carpet - hardwood floor only?

I don't think so since this Roomba does not have imprint smart mapping which means keep out zones are not available for this model the only thing is you will have to put virtual wall barriers.

the user agreement for the app is way over the top. I'm using mine without the app. It works with the room barriers from my old one.
