Have had robot vacuums for 15 years. Once you setup your home for a Roomba, cleaning is easy forever. But yeah, it took me a couple years really to get a house setup perfect for robot vacs. Tall enough furniture they can go under, no cords around, etc., etc.. I seriously haven't used a real vacuum more than like 5 times in the past 10 years. I have a 12+ year old Roomba 530, Had a 14+ year old Roomba Red (but it fell down the stairs :( ... I replaced it with a Eufy 11s), and a Neato Botvac D80. The Neato does my main floor, the 530 does my lower floor, the Red/11s is used in one large room. I moved only two times in the past 12 years. Each time I made sure to setup the new places for robots. They are amazing.

You can buy the beacon towers that create a radar fence to avoid it going on your rug, or to stay out of a room if you want it to focus on other rooms. I like that it forces me to be aware of what is on the floor. It's helped train good habits into me about keeping my floors picked up. 😊

@mikewolf3944 жыл бұрын
I have two and I’m allergic to EVERYTHING plus asthma. I manage it by purifiers and washing them every week including their teeth. They love it.
@mistylee7174 жыл бұрын
Statistically at least 20 percent of cat owners are allergic. I guess they’re worth it. I would probably still have cats if I was allergic. However children who are allergic to cats should never be living in a house with a cat. That’s almost child abuse. They have a much higher risk of developing asthma.

Is it a model with carpet boost technology? if not, maybe you should try it next time to fix your rug issues. If you go for more expensive one make sure it has "recharge and restart" technology and camera (which you mentioned). Also when you can set your google assistant to have your hoover working every time you leave the house (the noise you mentioned).

My 4150, Which I found at the end of the driveway next to the garbage back in 2012 in a very rich golf and tennis resort and HOA that I worked at I found. Does the same thing just no WIFI which I can live with. It had a bad battery. Got a new one and it's still going just fine. Has the self docking station, Proxy sensors. All that. $0 dollars plus $30 dollars for a battery and it works the same.

Use Earplugs. Or sweep yourself. When you're vacuuming take that time to rest. No one works when they are vacuuming. Unless you are the one vacuuming. It's a vacuum, you'll need like a headset or earplugs. That's what I do. Also if you want to room by room feature get the i3 Evo and up.

I just got one of these off Amazon in their Black Friday sale, what I find annoying about it is that it goes about cleaning in a hap hazard manner rather than straight lines but that is my OCD kicking in LOL. Also the first time I used it, it missed large areas of two rooms and returned to base however I just used it again for the second time and this time it has done a much better job and cleaned virtually every corner although it still goes about it's way in a hap hazard manner! One other thing is it takes a very long time to clean the place if I did it myself I would have it done in a third of the time but it does it own thing and I don't have to do anything!

Hey getting the e5 today. I’m interested in how you live with the your cat being allergic to it? I’m allergic to cats also but I want to get a cat . Do you take medicine or get an injections so you can live with the cat? I understand that it’s in their saliva transfer to their fur by licking and cleaning.

The support person told me because I didn't purchase it from an authorized seller. So there is no warranty. They told me I have to pay for the repair even though it is still under warranty. Avoid this scam company.
@markbrowning43343 жыл бұрын
Almost perfect? Yeah, if you mean it dances around the floor while pushing your pet hair, dirt, and dander around. These things boast above normal suction power. I don't think there's any. Ours, only two hours out of the box managed to matt pet hair and leave it behind in tightly wound clumps. For $75 at wal mart, you get what you get with a basic upright vacuum. For$500 - $1000, this damn thing better at least leave a clean floor behind. It would probably be nice, for that money,, if it would cook you dinner and pick up the kids from school as well. Ours couldn't pick up dirt to compete with a swiffer. Save your money.

Perfect? It is not even close. I stopped using it for years and don't know what to do with it. A few but major drawbacks It does not clean stairs . It does not clean furniture with low clearance. The auto park and charge won't work if the charger is on a diff floor. It does not clean my house well with 1 dog and 2 cats, and a couple of long hair girls. Need to un-hair the brushes (take about 15 min) after every use. So a lot of manual work to overcome the above. Last but not least, noise - so it can't work during business hours - Both my wife and I work from home and we need a quiet environment to chat online frequently with no fixed schedule I still prefer my cordless Dyson which I have to spend more time for the cleaning but a lot more efficient considering the above. Irobot is cool, and fun. Does it work? No!
