There’s a “lucky few” of us that had always been here. Our disappointment that Dead Sara never “broke out” has only been given us the silver cloud that Emily has fit in well with the LP guys. DS was an incredible live band, largely because of Emily’s dynamic voice and awesome stage presence. One of my best memories of all time were of her jumping up and standing on the stage monitors at one of their Troubadour shows here in LA. I’m stoked that the rest of the world now gets to see how incredibly special she is!! For the rest of the DS crew, thank you!! You’ll always have a place in my heart. You have filled my mind with love of wonderfully beautiful, gritty, edgy, and powerful music that only Dead Sara could have done. Dead Sara ROCKS!! And… Linkin Park. I can’t wait until the next single comes out later today, the album is released in two weeks and that I can take two generations of my family to witness one of the most iconic, genre-bending, awesome bands of all time!! To my fellow fans: How frickin’ lucky we are!!!

Admit it, Emily sounds more melodic than Chester. Quite often, Chester goes out of tune when singing live. Emily has the chops! Many LP songs require lots of lungs to carry through and she seems to have it! She sounds raw and you can definitely hear hints of fry scream waiting to be unleashed everywhere in this song. Mike was smart to have brought her on! Even better that she's not mainstream! New era of LP!

LP fans will never admit to this because Chester is like a god to them but he was very inconsistent live, sometimes very flat or out of tune. Which is why it was ridiculous they slammed Emily for the very few voice cracks in the debut show that were obviously due to nerves, which the next shows in the tour proved.
