I’ve probably commented a bunch on the videos in the past. I don’t know if you or your dad will ever read this. I just wanted to let you know that these videos are therapeutic for me. Seeing the bond between father and son is amazing. Although my father and I haven’t talked in ages, seeing that bond that is currently missing from my life helps me reflect on happier times with my dad. I hope you guys have the best day/week ever and although you may not need some random comment wishing you the best, here I am wishing you and your father the best.

I swear to god, these videos helped me improve my cooking skills. When i try to replicate recipies from other videos i spend too much money, and somehow still F it up with spices or just burning the meal. Your dad is so creative and good at explaining techniques that now i can just go to the store, grab some meat and vegetables, and think of an original yet tasty meal.
@TSGEnt2 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Jet for doing this with your Dad. For one thing, father-son-together stuff, in general, is very nice. Additionally, Susur inspires me to do the best I can in the kitchen. I am the primary food preparer in my house. Please do as many of these as your father will endure. On top of the list of things that I love to hear is, "wow that smells and tastes real good!" when my family is having dinner. Again, thank you and tell your dad thank you for me. 👍

Made this and it was really damn good. Had leftover pork shoulder, so I chopped it up finely instead of ground beef. And used homemade teriyaki sauce instead of soy+oyster sauce, because i already had it. Will make again for sure. He's right, the corn really makes it nice!

Idk how you remember all the ingredients and portions. I've always just winged it with whatever I made unless it was one of my moms recipes. Another great cheap meal that I used to do in college is beef Ramen noodles corn and beef jerky. The cheap rock hard beef jerky that can break a tooth. You boil the water with the jerky before you add the noodles. Add flavoring packet then the noodles and then the corn. Wanna get fancy add some green onions

I do what I call hippie rice. Something my mother made since I was little growing up in the 70's. I cut/slice carrots, celery, and onions and fry them in skillet until the carrots soften. Add a couple eggs in a cleared section of pan and scramble them as they cook. Then add cooked rice and a tablespoon or two of butter and some salt. When everything has been cooked well, usually add some soy sauce for flavor. Maybe it sounds weird but it was made from affordable ingredients at the time. Still an affordable meal. Sometimes we add extras if we have it like zucchini or meat. Usually chicken. Sometimes I do a bit of teriyaki with the chicken meat using sugar, water, and soy sauce. It's a nice change sometimes. This hippie rice is something I really enjoy and have had no complaints about from others who tried it. Even if it isn't traditional, lol.
