This one is stupid. What do you get when you fuse iron chef and the voice? Netflix iron chef 😒 phony chefs trying to be #1 even though #1 chefs have been around for as long as the human race was able to pass down it's recipes to generations one after another for hundreds of years. No such thing as perfect chefs, you can really only alter the recipes that's about it.

Love that they acknowledge Morimoto. Hope they don't pretend the other previous Iron Chefs don't exist. These 5 new Iron Chefs are almost all legends. But I'm surprised they didn't bring back at least one previous Iron Chef. Still - I'd hate to be the one cooking against Dominique Crenn.

I think Morimoto is the only chef capable to at least judge or cook from the original japan series. Most of them either died (Kenichi and Kobe)or at there late 70s to 90s (Michiba, Nakamura, Sakai)

Four of the new Iron Chefs: Curtis Stone, Marcus Samuelsson, Dominique Creen and Ming Tsai were challengers on Iron Chef America before they were on this as new Iron Chefs.

I was already hyped when I saw the trio hosting this show but the judges just put me over the top. Andrew Zimmer, Wolfgang puck, danny trejo, and the goat morimoto. I can't handle how hyped I am for this. Man my childhood watching all these guys is flooding back.

Yes she was amazing but no matter who it was other than her, they were never going to be these 5 culinary monsters. I didn't like the finale's format. It should have been 5 dish with 5 different main ingredients or theme, each iron chefs get assigned a specific main ingredient or theme and the final challenger has to do all 5 then each of her dish would compete against another iron chef dish according to the main ingredient or theme. Beat at least 3/5 Iron chefs dishes and you get crowned Iron legend. I do believe this format would have been amazing. Ain't nobody no matter how good of a cook you are can beat these 5 legends, 99.99% impossible.

Yes, I enjoy watching the show until the finally. That was 5 iron chef to 3 regular chef. The iron chef had only 1 plate each to present and had all the time in the world. Some even spend time messing around. Either they give the challenger 2 extra chef in the kitchen or take 2 iron chef out of the finally. Atleast the challenger could have a fair fight. You're the iron chef. They are regular chefs. You have 5 iron chef in charge of 1 plate each. The 1 regular chef and 2 assistant chefs in charge of 5 plates. How was that fair? Ar the end, they could have given the challenger praises for going up against 5 iron chef by herself. It was a disappointing ending. Hope the next season doesn't disappoint.

Chef Ming Tsai hands down one of my favorites . My problem is i can't watch iron chef and not start cooking myself. Sometimes though , The things they prepare aren't very appealing to me but I still love this show . Go chef Tsai !!!

I’m pretty sure it’s impossible to win against 5 chefs. Legend chefs at that, as they say. Like off the bat each chef gets to focus on their dish while the challenger has to juggle 5 dishes with only 2 extra hands. How! Is one supposed to beat 6 other dishes that are specialized

So happy too see this show back. It never should’ve left. Abolishes success. Love Kish with Alton she’s the best sidekick he’s ever had by a million miles. With that being said! I seen many ideas stolen from other world renowned chefs from all over the world during this season. More specifically the “Forest Floor” dish is a world famous dish by one of the greatest Japanese chefs on the planet in Yoshihiro Narisawa. I mean the dish was exactly the same. Even the name. Stuff like this is just shocking too me. You want to be inspired by a recipe? Phenomenal! That’s good. A great chef needs inspiration. But to take a dish and coin it as your own original creation and even steal the name from the “inspiration” is jaw dropping. And don’t tell me “Originality” isn’t a part of the Iron Chefs job. It’s literally one of the main judged criteria for this show. A show which happens to be on Netflix called “The Final Table” showcases this “Forest Floor” dish with the right creator of the dish in Chef Narisawa of Japan. You can find this in the shows finale episode around the 6 min mark or so. This show was filmed and released a little over 5 years before Iron Chef aired. Sorry for the rant. But if you made it this far. One of the Iron Chefs is a fraud!

I feel like Netflix is testing the waters with the 1st season of Iron Chef on their platform. So many things need to be iron out but it was such an amazing thing to watch! This was so educational and very entertaining all at the same time! I want a Season 2 soon! Also, why doesnt the Chairman get to eat and judge the food lol He just stands there the whole round. haha The prize golden knife needs to be more believable lol The way the challenger has to defeat all 5 Iron Chef at the end is just impossible lol But like I said this show is awesome and is like an Oasis in a desert of mindless, brain rotting programs out there lol. Alton and Kirsten competing over correct terms, trivias etc. is such a breathe of fresh air.

I wish they would just have proper chefs as judges if there's anymore 2nd season. It's logical to be judged by your own peers than quasi food experts. Motamed had been schooled by Tom Colicchio at Top Chef before, and in this show, Kirsch corrected her about berbere spice and Morimoto did the same.

I hope there will be a new season! I still can't believe how we have top tier chefs with Michelin stars now! Dominique Crem and Curtis Stone have earned stars, and the former is considered one of the world's best! Also I would love to see Chef Morimoto come back as the OG of iron chefs!

Sakai and Morimoto were my favorites to watch. They were the most creative and most willing to take a chance on failure that it made them so entertaining to watch. Loved watching them all, though. Well, iron chef Japan anyway. 👍

I really like how Alton is like an encyclopaedia, but I wish they explained the dish more, kind of like how Gordon talks about the dish while the contestants are cooking. I mean as a lay person who don't cook, it would be nice if they explain more about the dish like whether it's something difficult or which part of the dish is difficult to executer, or how it's different. I mean they talk about it a little, but I wish they explained more for audience who aren't familiar with cooking, for instance if they are deep frying, would be nice if they explained the different sort of batter they use and why its a good choice or an interesting choice or something. Also Gordon Ramsay with Dominique Crenn would be so fun to watch. Her energy int he kitchen sort of reminds me of Gordon, just in terms of how they seem to have this excess energy.

After watching the first three "battles" I thought one thing was overkill. Why are Alston and Kristen at the final judging table eating and questioning the chefs with the three judges? Just too much noise. On the original broadcasts it was 3-4 judges (1-2 of which were food critics or writers) who were perfectly able to ask questions. As much as I enjoy and respect Alton, he doesn't need to be pestering the chefs with the "sideline reporter" during the tasting. Also on Iron Chef, the chairman sat and ate with the judges during the tasting . Where is Mark? He belongs there based on past tradition. The Fuji TV original shows are on Freevee so the comparison is easy.
