A bit bummed as I reckon the AU XR8s are the next VN SS's... more so the series III 220kw tickford ones though. Leave the F100 that height, remove bullbar (which will raise the front level with the back) fit stock bar, remove side steps, fit the original guard and matt clear coat or oil it. Be a decent tow rig/ daily

Picked up a 220kw AUII for NZ $8,400 3 months ago, and those engines are the last ever factory Ford Windsors, with a lot of cool and expensive bits done to them, that 99.9% of people wouldn't know about. They are going up in value every week now, too. Most I looked at were 10 to 20 thou. depending on mileage and condition !!

Why would you get rid of gas ,in QLD gas is still .79c a litre as oppose to 1.15-up to 1.30 you still save with gas ,plenty of good gas systems around that get similar power and economy, provided you have good spark. Petrol being volitile in price, could easily go up quickly to 1.50-60 a litre , gas seems to have flatelined around 70,80,90 mark, gas also a lot cleaner at the tail pipe and on engine oil,so it's good option to have with fuel, even today

The fairmonts Fairlanes and Tickford cars xr8 xr6 and T series cars looked awsome in my opinion was only really the futura and forte that let the rest of the AU series down

Hello from America!!! I love your vids. I also like all the cool cars you guys have over there. As for the F-100. This is what I would do. Do a ford crown Vic from end swap and do a rear axle flip on it. With a c- notch in the rear frame rails. Over here in the States it’s a really budget friendly swap. Now I don’t know how cheap it is to get the parts over there or if you guys have the full size Crown Vic’s over there. There is tons of how to vids on the web to take you step by step on how to this. Anyways I really enjoy your channel and keep up the great work.

Keep that old patina look man if it's a tow rig just repair rust and clear coat like u said that way your not worried about scratches ... id say lift kit , big tyres , adjustable tow ball to suit height for trailer and maybe good clean of engine bay ... 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

I used Galmet Ionize to rust convert the inside of my one, meaning the inside of the panel work with an air degreaser gun and most of the non structural rust I fibregalassed ( being a boat builder) Most parts for these vehicles are available online, you could literaly build a new one. I have a set of 16" rims but sending them from Sydney to South Aus is probably not cost efficient. Tuning for gas is more effective as you can get closer to TDC but having the tank in the tray defeats the purpose of an XLT well back. If you want to pay freight, I will donate the rims.

Not all F trucks were created equal some full imported units can be difficult to find parts in Aust. (Some XLT customs) Brakes, universals, wheel bearings ect. Been there done that. Top tow rig

the roo bars missing up your power to weight. its gotta go. paint it up chuck it on gumtree... throw on some decent spotlights cos the the factory headlights were worse than candles because sealed beam. find another seat or get a upholsterer onto that one the springs have gone in the back of the divers side. will be cheaper to get one sent frm the states cos they dront drive from that side.

Yaze 76 we think alike! I even have a 5 speed conversion for it! But logically I don’t see it getting used, I already have a similar era fairlane which I prefer driving so although the 5 speed would be nice, I think I’ll get more use out of a decent tow car! Cheers for the feedback mate
