this is my favorite song by Maiden. I like them because they maintain their reputation as a metal band but their music isn't too heavy and hardcore for new people to get into it. Up the irons indeed.

So many memories. This song literally changed my life. I heard it while playing Grand Theft Auto: Vice City when i was 12 (yeah, I had awesome parents lol) and man, talk about getting struck by lightening...after this I was hooked on metal, and the combined forces of Maiden and Randy Rhoads' is what led me to play guitar instead of doing any actual school work :)

I love that this song is called 2 minuets to midnight but the song is 6 minuets long , so it should be 12:04 if you actually listen to the song two minuets before midnight

i dont see why people hate blaze, no one really hated dianno but realistically if dianno was asked to sing a dickinson or blaze song he would fail miserably, only because he didnt have the range of dickinson was nothing that he could help, combined with his stage allergies and pins in his legs left him with a really bad stint in maiden, still x factors one of the best albums i ever bought, UP THE IRONS,

There's an awful lot of anti Janick stuff online and I've been guilty of the odd swipe mostly because I prefer Adrian's solos to Janicks and it annoys me to hear Jan do H's solos in classic songs. That being said, Jan has wrote some fantastic songs over the last 18 years. His effort on the last 2 records, in particular, have been amazing and I look forward to hearing more of it in the future. I just wish he'd let H have more of his old solos back :)
