The intro speech was Winston Churchill's famous "we shall fight them on the beaches..." speech that he made after Dunkirk and before the Battle Of Britain in 1940 - the song is about RAF pilots in the BoB of course. It's worth checking out the official video to hear the speech and the lyrics properly.

Bruce has already said in interviews that this song is one of the most difficult to sing live and that's why it's always the first on the set-list. Not to mention that this song is one of Iron Maiden's best

Bar none the best heavy metal band. Their performances at every concert leaves no one disappointed. He allows the crowd to sing and fully engage with all songs. Bruce’s energy is amazing plus the rest of the band. Nice to see you embrace this music and “ get it” like we did from the 80’s until present day. I’ll be there again in November here in Philly. Rae keep rocking to this music. You’re one of us 🤘🏻💯👊🏻

Best live band in the world I've had the pleasure of seeing them live 4 times the last time 1 year ago in July 23, they are still as full of energy as the 1st time I saw them in 1986, simply amazing.

This Flight 666 tour was in Australia in Melbourne, Victoria. I was there to see them in action!! They were spectacular!!!! Had a really good seat in the house!!!

So this footage is from the flight 666 documentary. It’s about their somewhere in time, power slave world tour and how they traveled through seven continents in just 45 weeks and just overall how legendary this tour was not only that, but it also shows Bruce Dickinson‘s double life as a commercial airplane pilot and how him and the band tours on their 757 Ed force one. It’s a great documentary and a great watch if you love iron maiden.

The algorithm brought me here, so let me help a bit. The voice-over intro is Sir Winston Chruchill. All the soundtracks in the world can never get the levels right. They adjust throughout the start of the show in order to compensate. And given the power of Bruce's voice, he probably clips the mic occasionally as well. Also, this is KZbin so you can't expect much. This is from their Somewhere Back In Time tour, where each song is taken from a different concert/country during the tour, and they use a little snippet from each place before each song. This tour was filmed for the documentary Flight 666. It was the first time they allowed so much off-stage filming as they've always been an extremely private band. But they were impressed with Sam Dunn's work on the documentary A Headbanger's Journey.

The mic level is fine in the original recording. THings get lost in thousands of downloads and reuploads. Maiden has had epic live recording quality since the 80's. Anywho, of course they wear their own merch. They are Iron frigging Maiden. Who else's junk would you wear?

I loved your reaction. I feel that you have a very beautiful particular energy and it is pleasant to see you. I wanted to recommend that you not limit yourself to just seeing the post-2000 Maiden concerts. The current concerts are very overrated at this point and let me make it clear to you that I love the Maiden of the 2000s, but the one from the 80s is absolutely unbeatable . Young, fresh, powerful, innovative, rebellious. The best of the best. Concerts such as the Ruskin Arms and Live At The Rainbow from 1980, both Beast Over Hammersmith from 1982, Live After Death from the 84/85 tour, Rock In Rio from 1985 and Maiden England from 1988, are often despised by many "fans." " that only focus on the band's current live material, when the band's golden period was in the 80s. I would love for you to go to one of these legendary concerts in your next reaction. HAHA! so i have the Flight 666 dvd, and watched it... lats say more than once! As im watching this,, i immediately had same thought! He needs to be boosted. All that knows Iron M4iden, also knows, that that is a RARE issue! weird they didn't discover that under the soundcheck - HAHA

I'm not aware of any other major musical act where the lead singer is also a licensed airline pilot who pilots their own jumbo jet around the world to the gigs. That counts for a few "cool" points right there. I get such a charge out of these guys as they're just a little older than me and the music, the performing, the recording, the touring - it's their job and they treat it as such. But in the documentary, you see that they're also middle aged guys who have families, play golf on their days off and who have kids that they nag to make sure they did their homework. MAJOR cool points, in my opinion...

Maiden crowds are just different, I’ve been to allot of shows and the crowd will get so loud it can rival the boys, it’s amazing so you won’t always get a perfect sound mix.

My wife and I saw this tour and like all their tours.. It was fantastic, my only issue was it was an outdoor pavilion and the sound wasn't as good as it is indoors The sound for some reason on youtube that you're watching not sure whats up w/ Bruce's vocals cause on the cd and DVD they're great.

I have seen Iron Maiden since "The Number of the Beast" tour...Flight 666 is recorded from all over the World. Some of the songs could have been engineered better. Especially the vocals on "Aces High" (should have been turned up louder). Other LIve performances like Rock in Rio, Death on the Road, En Vivo! Live in Santiago, Made in England '88, A Real Dead Live One Just to name a few were recorded & engineered perfecto !!!

Flight 666 is not the best show for live vocals. Live at Hammersmith '82 is one of the best, but it's old and doesn't have the more recent songs. Rock 'n Rio is pretty good (better than F666). There's another good one (for live vocals) I can't remember off hand. Someone will probably suggest it soon. I was at Live After Death, but the vocals aren't good there either. Bruce never gets tired. He (in the past) flies the tour plane and then runs all over the stage during the show. Endless energy).
