I remember that thunderstorm and in particular the lightning cueing right when Bruce sang "The Sign of the Cross", as well as him ranting against those seeking shelter under a tent. He took off his shirt, went at the front of the stage and screamed at them "what's that? the fuckin' hip-hop tent?". One of the top nights of my life.

Man, i turn 45 this year, this was not my first concert but the one i remember till the day i die. was just talking to a colleague about this and how the lightning struck and heavy rain from the start of Maiden playing but before that a very sunny and warm day.

Eerst Slipknot, daarna Korn en toen Iron Maiden... en met Iron Maiden deed moeder natuur nog even een extraatje in de vorm van onweer waar zelfs Bruce van onder de indruk was 😂🤘🏻

What I love about this video is that Samson Tobacco was the sponsor of the festival. And so, visible around Bruce and the rest, is the word Samson, really big displayed. Historically hilarious.

Thanks for posting. I will never get bored of watching this! I was there, right down at the barrier. Got Dave Murray's plectrum :) Wish I could find the full show. I have the audio but not the video. It was the first time I saw Maiden with Bruce and Adrian.

Eerste festival voor mij! Ik was 14, woonde op loopafstand, ging met een groep vrienden voor Sentenced, Korn en Slipknot en kwam terug als Maiden-fan. Nooit genezen.
