Not only is the lead singer, Bruce Dickinson, an accomplished pilot, he is also an accomplished author and fencer. At one time he was ranked #6 in the UK in fencing! He holds an honorary doctorates in music from Queen Mary University in London, and he is also an honorary Captain in the Royal Air Force. There are so many things he has accomplished, and being one of the greatest heavy metal singers in history is just one of them. Also, he performed Bohemian Rhapsody with Montserrat Caballé and has also sung Tom Jones' Delilah on live British television (in 1997 right after rejoining Maiden w. Adrian Smith) which can be found on KZbin. Anyway, I loved the reaction as always!! I look forward to more Iron Maiden especially!!

Disagree strongly that their live performances are better than their studio efforts. I've been listening to Maiden since 1982, and have been to many of their concerts, and while they kick all sorts of butt live, their first seven studio albums are masterpieces. "The Trooper," in particular, sounds horrible live--they play it way too fast, sorta like Cartman singing "Come Sail Away" by Styx.

Well spotted with the number of time changes. It's one of the keys to Maiden's success. They constantly jolt you out of complacency while you're listening to them. Each song is like several songs rolled into one. And obviously the tight way they're always together. They're total perfectionists and rehearse so much it simply rolls together as if they're mentally connected to each other.

To be deeply touched by life one needs a full capacity to experience passion and its joys, yet sadly few have soul-intercourse with its magic and inspiration. Even to observe its power from the sidelines can be awesome - the crazed tv professor at 3 a.m. enthusing about a particular truly amazing mathematical formulae, or at the other extreme - Maggie - gently possessed, whilst retaining the capacity to both appreciate and anlayse on a technica/l professional music level. So one does not need to fully relate to Iron Maiden in order to harvest great pleasure from watching this commentary. I loved the analysis although was not personally insipred by I.M., but then joy coupled with academics turns me on. It is an unusual blend and sufficient by itself. Music embraces diveresity which should always be respected, and very often truly enjoyed. One hundred million I.M. fans can't be wrong! Maybe I'm just in a Dolly Parton mood right now?

This song is absolutely beautiful, they are master of their craft for sure, I've been an Iron Maiden fan since I was 12 in 83, I finally got to see them in the Tacoma dome several years ago on the book of souls world tour and it was the greatest live performance I've ever seen, thank you so much.

I love your conversion to Metalhead! How long will you be performing in SF NM? I might try to head down from Denver for a weekend to see a performance. I love live Opera! I found a really good Jinjer-like band that I think you'll like--Morphide. They're trying really hard to get discovered (you'll see what I mean when you see their video list). I think you'll like their new single "Panopticon," and I'm sure they'd appreciate the exposure on your channel. (Don't forget Spiritbox too. You're going to love them!)

One of their best songs!! Powerslave and Wasted Years are amazing too. Also I’m currently drinking an Iron Maiden Fear of the Dark English stout 🍺
