Being a bass player of over 35 years and having seen Steve play this many times, he plays in triplets like almost all his performances. He’s got live performances on here to show his three fingered style. Your cover is still excellent. Keep it up.

He might play triplets in his live performances, but I hear straight 16th notes for a lot of the song in the album version

@@nelsonglover3963 thanks for the link…I’m going to try and see if Steve will answer why the two different ways. I kind of like the triplets, but they both sound good. I am friends on instagram so I sent him a DM. I hope he answers.

I'd ask for bass tabs for a musical that I have to learn but I'm not sure if that is something you would do. I'll gladly increase my patreon membership for them though. Or charge me per tab I don't mind. I wouldn't need you to make a video for it.

doesnt seem to bad to play.. i used to pluck the strings like the bass is meant to be played and refused to use a pick lol and i think it makes this song even easier to play. unfortunately i dont have my bass anymore because i sold it to my buddy which was the lead singer of our cover band and he unfortunately passed a few years ago and feel weird asking the family for it back.

Nice ! Slight differences with some other covers I saw, like chords at the beginning... But I'm not sure at all Steve Harris plays chords. There are variation I don't play currently shame on me, thanks. I think I will try to get some of your cover ^^ This song is really fun to play and always makes me regain energy ^^

Dunno if you’ve ever done to tame a land by maiden it’s another awesome one. Quite difficult on bass. I’m almost certain I’m not playing it right. I learned it by ear when I was like 16. But knowing Harris I’m missing something.

I learned the song some 10 years back on bass myself and I've tended to play the dun-dudu galloping feel that the guitar plays (and is so Iron Maiden in general), but listening to the original now it seems that Harris indeed plays the 16ths and perhaps emphasizes the gallop feel on the 1st, 3rd and 4th 16th notes. And correct me if I assume incorrectly, with the triplets you're referring to the gallop feel (which in the case of Iron Maiden seems to be used by many as rather a descriptive term than a technical music theory term) that are technically the 1st, 3rd and 4th 16th notes within a quarter note duration (or a beat)?
