I know they said furyoku level isn't everything but jeez, she had a God class almighty spirit, a furyoku level 680000 which is the second highest of the series, half of Hao ! But in the final arc she basicallly revived 2-3 people and did nothing else, and in Flowers she just randomly died stabbed. Such an asspull.

Well, except that this memory of Black Maiden is fake. The real killer was Yosuke himself. According to Red Crimson, he used a time stopping power reminiscent of Dio’s The World Stand to stop time and point the gun she was holding against Jeanne. Then he pulled the trigger and shot Jeanne in a creepy smile of sociopathic misanthropy; as he grew into an individual that belies that the world is his game where “its’s kill or be killed” to quote from Flower from Undertale. He made this fabricated memory on Black Maiden to make her his servant and for his own genocidal scenario. Jeanne’s pacifist approach worked on Black Maiden, but thanks to Yosuke, he undid all of that. Blame Yosuke, the Tohru Adachi of the Shaman King universe, not Black Maiden. And even his partner YVS who manipulated him into becoming a sociopath that sees everything as a game.

Ren basically grew up to be Seto Kaiba 😂 To be fair tho, in red crimson we see Ren's full reaction and how he talked with Ren about what happened and it's one of the highlights of his character as he remembers Yoh's words to him just before the end of the original series where Yoh said love will change him.

Because Jeanne existence did not allowed him to write Hao winning at the end of the Shaman King original manga. He forced her out of the fight to do and spoiled the end to his own readers, killing the story and his sales. At the same time Fox Kids aired a much better ending for his story. Getting schooled by american fellas about writing his own manga angered the author and Jeanne paid the price. Thankfully, the "gods of literature" avenged Jeanne by making the whole Shaman King franchise to sink in oblivion. Takei forced Hao down fans throats and treated Jeanne as trash. Then he got his manga trashed back
