Great video James. "Phantom of the Opera" is easily my favorite track as well! 7 and a half minutes of pure ear candy, superb Maiden song. On "Killers", for me, it's a tie between Wrathchild & Murders in the Rue Morgue. Tough to pick, brilliant album in any case. R.I.P. Paul Di'Anno 🕊 Definitely do more songs rankings, would like to see one for the Blaze Bayley era one day. Cheers buddy 🤘😎

Great ranking as always pal although I have to say I thought the same as another commenter here - I expected a ranking of all the tracks across both albums! Of course there’s no issue with doing it the way you have! Totally agree re Phantom of the Opera being the best track from the debut - it is by a country mile! As for Killers - title track is the best for me also! The solos on that are just seismic! Great minds my man!

Hi James!!! I think any Maiden ranking is going to be a good ranking..... and as nice Paul's tribute. The first two records are almost perfect, with great songs and vocal performance too. "Killers" and "Wrathchild" could easy be 1 or 2 in my list. Now "Phamtom...." and "Murders...." awesome material and the instrumentals are also cool stuff and i think they should be more of this in newer releases. cheers and be well

Good to hear your thoughts on the songs James and a nice tribute to Paul. There's a lot of great songs on these albums that I wish the band would play live more often. Killers and Phantom are easily two of their best songs. Prodigal son is one of my favourites. A version of remember tomorrow has just been released featuring Tony Martin that's worth a listen if you've not heard it.

Great video ranking me ode, as i came in very early with Maiden, the Di'Anno years are my fav. (sorry but as the songs got longer, my interest got shorter) The DiAnno years would also make a fantastic box set, all his best studo & live releases in one place. Definitely time for 'live at the rainbow' to get the bluray reissue treatment for sure and they MUST have more live recordings they could release now

Nice ranking James! I'd say my favourite tracks from Iron Maiden are Phantom of the Opera, Transylvania and Sanctuary. My favourite tracks from Killers are Wrathchild, Prodigal Son and Ides oc March. Not as big a fan of Killers as you are 😁🤘🏻

Got to agree with Phantom of the Opera on the debut as my favourite. I think Killers is a better album and has more really good songs. I'd go for Purgatory as my favourite, Killers no. 2 and Wrathchild no. 3. RIP Paul. I like the song rankings.

I remember that add on TV for the lucozade with daley Thompson sprinting off to the clip of phantom. I was only a young lad back then and don't think I had even started listening to maiden at the time yet. It was 1984 so I was only 6 then, I started listening to acdc and iron maiden two years later at age 8.
