Iron Maiden - Mexico City 2019 - Tour of official merch stands (first night)

It is no exaggeration about Maiden shirt lines in US!! I just saw Maiden in Austin, Texas and all the lines were over 75 people long. My wait was close to one hour to buy my shirts. Kiss, Iron Maiden, and this summer's Stadium Tour with Motley, Def Leppard and Poison and Joan Jett are the longest lines for merch. At the Stadium Tour they made us from one line and then 5 lanes to pay at the very end as they become available. The line was literally as long as a football field. People in that line missed all of Joan and Poison sets. I was lucky and got mine between Def and Motley and then again after concert. Insane my brother. Tour shirts are going for $50 at the official merch stands.

Amazing how many people will spend so much time waiting in line to buy overpriced merch, even to the point of missing bands.

Saw them here in San Antonio Tx and they were incredible!! Mexico got 3 days with them, lucky !!

450 pesos too expensive? man, I went to Phoenix and the t-shirts were 45 dlls. It's almost 900 pesos. I wish I could pay 450 pesos for a t-shirt haha

I don't know why so many people always make this comparison. The minimum wage here is like $100 a day (not an hour). That's four-and-a-half days pay for a shirt. Yeah, you wish you could pay $450 for a shirt, as long as you're making US dollars.

well, I live in Mexico (near the northern border, that's why I went to Phoenix and not to cdmx) and I really wish cheaper shirts in the US because I pay the equivalence in pesos, and I can see an IRON MAIDEN brand in the shirts in this video, are they original? 'cos my shirt is from a brand called "Delta"

22 usd is 450 pesos, why you say that’s insane price? the price is lower than the Maiden Store online. Normally they are Gildan T-shirts, can you notice the label of the shirts?

It's insane because of the cost of living in Mexico. Minimum salary is $100 per day, not per hour. So, a $450 shirt is 4.5 days of work. No label (they're torn off), but they're manufactured locally, and are the same shirts that most of the bootleggers are selling outside for $120 or $150. So, yes, insanely expensive, which is why there were very few people at the stand.

Dan Delaney here in Chile, the T Shirts from official merchandise are sold by a local crew that I think receive the digital art and have some rules like the 100% cotton local shirt and have no label but a seal that say is official. The cost is 15.000 Chilean pesos (around 21 Usd) I have Helloween Pumpkins United and Judas Priest Firepower and very glad of the quality. In the pirate outside you can get it from 5.000 or 7.000 pesos (7 and 10 usd) but normally they don’t have the design authorized from the band. The minimum wage per day is 10.000 pesos.

Dude, I went to the show in Oakland a couple weeks ago and went like 2 hours early before the opening act and the merch lines were already big. They looked like the line to get into the show.

Merchandise in Mexico tour is way way cheaper than in LA. I paid $45 US dollars + tax. Even in the website same price. I don’t think it’s expensive!!! Lucky for the Mexicans. That’s a very big steal!!!

lucky enough to have seen them on the Killers tour in bristol UK in 81 - my first gig, i was 14, for me they haven't made a proper metal studio album since powerslave - just a self indulgent , bloated prog pop rock band now - shame really
