I really enjoyed this. He's a very compelling singer - it's kind of sad to see him toiling in obscurity while his former bandmates have been so hugely successful. Anybody think this guy can’t sing should just listen to this. Grew up with this song and that voice. Loved the feel even then and recognized the great atmosphere and pacing. This song is unlike anything else the band ever did. Apparently Harris may have gotten high or something according to Paul. Certainly is trippy. Masterpiece really, glad to see so many others appreciate it. For all their later accomplishments the early maiden will always hold a special place in my heart. In fact if I could only keep a handful of albums the two first one would definitely have to be included along with the first four with Bruce. After that I’d have heard enough. They can never best that.

As far as I can tell Paul didn't have the energy for the tours Maiden was pulling, and he was a liability due to his personal life (getting arrested at their first show for a manager, has been arrested and imprisoned repeatedly, etc.)
