Thanks for the tab, dude. I feel bad for all the guitar players struggling with the note by note tutorials online where they practically narrate the tabs at 1 mph. I always try to learn by recording first. I would have never figured out the interlude section (or at least not for a long time) by hearing the song alone. With your tab I got it down in like 2 minutes. Thanks, man!

Special note about the tab. There's a few things that I'm hearing in the song that I'm not seeing in most tabs. So I just want to be honest in presenting this. I'm not hearing any vibrato in Dave's parts. So I wanted to stay true to the song. In the intro, Dave plays his harmony on 1 string and uses slides/pull offs for the last note of each run which is a harmonized 4th, not 3rd. I had to comb through some live videos to confirm what I was hearing was correct because I begin to doubt myself when nobody else has it tabbed out like that. Adrian's Trill is usually tabbed out with more notes but I'm only hearing 16th notes. Just simple -7-9-7-9. And sometimes he plays this: ------------------------- ------------------------- ------------------------- --9-----7--9--7------ --------------------9--- ------------------------- instead of going back to the 9th fret on the D string, he sometimes plays the 9th fret on the A string. But I didn't tab that out. I just went with what I heard more consistently. Because I wouldn't want to memorize where he actually plays that at random points in the song. I'm hearing an open E note with the high E5 power chord in Adrians galloping guitar parts. on the 1 2 3 and 4 beats. I don't see that written in any other tabs. But I'm hearing it. Mosts times. Sometimes he doesn't hit the low E but again, I have to make it consistent. In Daves trill parts, sometimes I'm hearing 16th notes, sometimes I'm hearing quintuplets and other times I'm hearing sextuplets. I just decided to tab it out as a trill. By the sounds of it, he just feels it out not thinking of any particular grouping of notes. And that was my mind set as I was playing it. And those are some things that popped out at me. I was actually used to playing it quite differently because I learned it from tabs years ago but was surprised when I actually sat down and analyzed the song.

Very accurate tabs. The only slightly inaccuracy is that Dave starts his solo on the B string, not the E string, and then moves down the string. Other than those two notes, everything else you did is 100% spot on. Note also that Dave uses the whammy bar for some of the dives right at the end. In the tabs here, a close approximation is achieved with bends.
@Cognitoman Жыл бұрын
How hard is it to learn this solo ?
@metalinsights9664 Жыл бұрын
@@Cognitoman It's a pretty short solo, which will make it easier to learn it. The hard parts are the big bends at the end, the dives, as well as the overall timing. Dave's feel and timing is not something that can be conveyed via a transcription. Remember to switch to the neck pickup for pretty much everything above the 12th fret.
