I very rarely leave comments on KZbin videos but I have watched and listened to this video at the very least once a week for the last couple months and it still gives me chills. I can’t make it through the whole video without breaking down. IMO Iron Maiden is the only band and every other band tries unsuccessfully to attain their station. But you sir have took a classic and reimagined it to new heights. And I have to say thank you.

Thank you so much! This means more than I can say. I felt the same way when I first took the time to really listen to the lyrics. When I was a teen, I used to blast this song (and countless other Maiden tunes) in my car because I loved the music, but it wasn’t until my late 40s when the lyrics truly hit home. Life is so damn short, and I’ve spent way too much time holding on to regrets. This song is an awakening story for me. It’s never too late to start again. 😊

@@danielreedmusic You are exactly right! This song means a lot more to me now that I’m older. The lyrics hit home hard. It’s never too late to start living life. Forget what’s in the past and focus on the here and now. It’s funny when you’re younger you never really understand what the words mean. Now I understand them and live life accordingly. Another song that brings me so much inspiration is the apparition. There is a line that says “live your life with a passion, everything you do, well”. Now that I’m older I try and do that every day. Thank you again for the amazing music.

What an amazing and very touching interpretation of Ian's unbelievable arrangement. Both versions are helping me to go on through a very dark and depressing time actually. My girl left, my dad got sick with cancer. You guys made it a lot better not to give myself up to this day. Its hard, but I will keep it up to live for the moment, remembering that its this to live for, to shine in the present.
