Played this song for my wife and she couldn’t believe this was a metal song. I said this is what I love about people that LOVE music is they can take song that people would never listen to because of a “genre” and “reinvent it” and open people’s eyes to a great song that they might not be open to listening to before. Can´t understand the hatred of some folks. I´ve listened to acoustic covers of Wasted Years (like the one that Ryan Adams did long ago) but you can tell Ian knows and respect the original, because he didn´t change the vocal melody so much as the others did and he also sings it with passion, beautifully. Congrats for this awesome rendition of one of my favourite Maiden tracks!
