Awesome shot at 6:36. I was just tired watching this thing. Very tough. Very impressive.

Great job. The cactus to cloud is harder as far as elevation gain in one day almost 10,000.

Haha...thanks, dude. Yeah that was a tough one. Looking back, I was just irritated that it took so long to get down to that saddle. The views were pretty sweet. I'd do it again.😋 Have a Merry Christmas, buddy!

Great selection of music! Reminds me of Tron! I've hiked the Bridge to Nowhere and camped there several times, but always passed up on hiking the mountain. Never thought much of it, but I have to try it.
@ColemanOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Man, I had to go back and watch it because I had forgotten that track. You're right, sound just like Tron! I love that movie. And yeah, you have to do it at least once. Not really sure why folks go back to it multiple times a year. I'll do it again, but that are way better hikes that I do every year consistently; this is not one of them. I still haven't been back, but I may go again this year....we'll see. 😉 And Bridge to Nowhere is a fun little hike. I haven't done it in a few years. Thanks for checking out the video, buddy and I appreciate the comment!

I never seen someone who hated a hike so much, but the Krispy Kreme makes it well worth it. I reluctantly will have to hike this one someday, it's on my bucket list. The drone footage was awesome! Thanks for sharing your pain, Eric.

Haha...that climb down is slow and arduous. I hated it, but now that the pain and irritation has subsided, I'd definitely do it again.😁 It's a pretty cool peak. It would have been more fun to suffer with others though. Let me know if you need a support team when you dig up the courage to do it! Appreciate the props, dude!

There are hikes that are extreme and a challenge that are rewarding (I found Cactus to Clouds to be like that) but Iron Mountain is just a grind for grinds sake.

Where is that peak on time stamp 6:50? I am trying to hike this and would like to find this view on the rock?
@ColemanOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
So you're not at a summit when you find this rock precipice. From Heaton Saddle to the top of Iron is 2.3 miles. It's probably about a 1/3 (maybe even less) of the way down from the top and you're basically on a spur or ridge trial at that point. It'll be on your left on the way up, but much easier to see on the way down, but you can't miss it. You're pretty much still on the trail when you stop to get that amazing shot! Good luck with the hike dude! It is actually pretty nice even though I dumped on it at the end. I'll do it again this year.
