I never get tired of this and its sister film, Railroad Story. I manage the replica Lionel 1949 Showroom Layout at the Wisconsin Auto Museum, and I've heard it many times over. Guys who thought, back when they were kids, that anyone could run the trains in the Lionel showroom because that is what they saw in these old films. For them, I motion to the controls of the replica and say "Have fun". Kind of funny though, our number 152 crossing gates work better than the one in the beginning of the film though!

I still find it hard to believe they were able to get footage of the _Pioneer Zephyr_ during its time starring in 1934's RKO Radio Pictures epic _The Silver Streak_ which today is sadly less known than the 1976 Fox buddy comedy _Silver Streak_ which was originally called _Super Chief_ based on the Santa Fe train of the same name, but still starring Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor.

Very nice, but I believe based on the trains in the film and the credits at the end it is from 1952.
