Every time I watch this, it gives me the chills. God Bless Sam Baker.

This song deserves so many more views. I personally think it's his best, standing equal with "Thursday" and "Steel". (And before some idiot comes in and comments on Sam Baker's singing/playing: dude's a talented musician who was in a train bombing that messed up his fingers and vocal cords, and he just adapted his writing/playing style and went right on making music. He's also extremely well-respected among folk and country singers.)

Thanks for including the 'banter' before the song. Just adds to Sam's brilliance.

It’s the same in every country. Before my wife and I were married and we both stopped drinking, she was proud she could drink with the Ironworkers. She could taunt them and say I’ll drink you under the table. We’ve both separately had a missing day when we didn’t make it home, but those are long ago; now we’re 58 and married 22 years this year, but hoo-whee! how we ruined those twenty-years-old practice marriages! Drank them down, stomped on them like beer cans and Trainspotting, hurt our spouses and ourselves, badly. Now we still get to see the light-sometimes you get what you get, not what you deserve. Yep, god bless Sam Baker.
