I think she could use heavier weights throughout, but she is sticking to just two, maximum 3, different weights, not to confuse us too much. She could start with 22,5kg for the first round of chest, 20 for the second and only on the third drop to 17,5. That way she could also be a lot more tired at the finisher. But of course she has more training than the rest of us. Not only bigger muscles, but better conditioned.

I have been working out with dumbbells for about 2 years and I am also able to do push-ups, however by the finisher I was unable to do even one regular push-up! Praise the Lord! Thank you Caroline!

I used 16.5kg, 11.5kg and 6.5kg for today's workout and I absolutely enjoyed it. I thought my hands will give way at some point, but they held on. I had to do dead stop tricep push ups on my knees for the last 5 reps of that finisher, but it was indeed a finisher. Thanks so much, Caroline and have fun doing this, guys.

Day 12 complete! My Lord are my hands shaking! Being on the mat is deceptive, I fooled myself into thinking I'll be resting today but nope, Caroline said NOOOOO gurl, you have to put in the work! I had to modify the last movements as I can't lift my whole body yet but still got in a workout, hopefully I'll be able to do the full push-up in the near future. I used 10 and 6kg weights for this workout. Roll on Day 13 💪🏾 ❤️

Hi Ebele ~ I couldn't do even one full body push up last year June. But after doing Caroline's workout consistently until today, I may do 3-5 full body pushup continuously without stopping. You may do it too! Keep it up! 🤩💪🏻👍🏻💐

It will be nice to give the legs a rest today, I'm feeling yesterday's super session still! The chest and triceps are definitely going to have a solid workout thanks to Caroline's expertly planned routine. The finisher is going to be a test on the arm and core strength as well. I think its brilliant that Caroline is showing everyone that you can use different equipment to supplement their workout. For leg day, I use a weighted vest to add a much heavier load without having to strain my arms/wrist.

Hi Anthony, I do recall you saying that before. I might have to look into that because I know my grip is a limiting factor on leg day, and I can’t hoist two weights heavier than 20 lbs up to my shoulders like Caroline does! I’ve seen a homemade version of a vest with weight plates in a knapsack too. The vest is probably a lot less awkward though! Have a good day!

@@alisonryckman7711 hi Alison, if you are going to invest in a weighted vest, buy one that is as comfortable as you can. I recommend one Made of soft neoprene material, stuffed with iron pellets. AVIOD the cheaper ones stuffed with sand. If you want can give you an example, let me know.

Hopefully, it fits and is adjustable to my small frame. In the product video, they show a guy doing triceps pushups while wearing it! That would be a challenge!!

The push ups at the end were the toughest part of this workout. My triceps are on fire and my chest muscles were literally shaking by the 3rd set!! Thank you for another great workout Caroline !

This was very tough and I struggled a lot with the dips and then the finisher! I did give up at the end and I did not perform the triceps push-ups, but I am sure I'll do better next time. Thanks Caroline, for another amazing upper body!

I love so much what you are doing. I tried to exercise for very long time with videos from other KZbinrs, most of them with many views, but finding you was definitely very impactful for my life. Thanks to your program, I don’t feel lost anymore, and before you, I will skip many days because I didn’t have a proper program, I only choose whatever exercise I wanted to do. By the end…i couldn’t do any push ups haha i wanted to go down and I hit the ground like a whale the beach. I love this series so much! And I don‘t know what exactly the difference is to the EPIC Series but this time I manage to slowly increase my weights with every workout and I LOVE IT :)

Oh Caroline… I love you add more upper body programs in Iron series…. Exactly my goal.. I am still weak with push-ups but can add more weights with shoulder press and curls… my endurance is visibly enhanced with 1 min interval… I purposely focus on the muscles along spine and around shoulder blades that really help me dealing with heavier weights.. the control, the coordination, the idea I had before but not knowing why and how now all become so crystal clear and meaningful… 🙏 thank you…

After doing the leg day workout with my new dumbbells I can do this too with heavy weights thr was a time when I can't even lift 5kgs and now omg I don't have words to describe ..I've gained more strength and power and I'm very proud of it and glad that I found caroline who helped me found out my weaknesses and my strength as far as today's session I'm really looking forward to do the finisher as I love push-ups let's go guys and let's push ourselves beyond the limits and kick smash this session..

I've lifted in the past, pretty seriously, mainly the whole of my 40's. In my 50's it was Beachbody Insanity and Max 30 but last year my body was telling me all this jumping around was getting harder. I'm now 61 and came back to weights when I found you Caroline. Started doing Epic and halfway through switched to Iron. I"m on my first round but don't keep to the schedule as I also like walking the Scottish mountains so I need a rest in between, especially leg days. How I'm loving lifting those weights again. My muscle memory from my 40's has bounced back pretty well and it's great doing this at home with you and the community. Thank you so much for your videos. I just need to get more dumbells as I'm working with two adjustable 10kgs at the moment. xx

A couple things to remember when doing this one: 1. there’s 3 rounds of each set. That starts feeling pretty heavy by the end, so make sure you choose your weights well and pace yourself! 2. Going heavy-ish makes you feel strong and awesome until you get to the dips and can’t do a single one so have to sub them out for cobra pushups…naturally leaving NOTHING in the tank for the finisher 😬 Thank you for another awesome workout…can’t wait to do it again in the future to see the improvement.

So happy with the lifting series. My 15yo son, who is a cross country runner, is starting to do these work outs to get some definition. Staying consistent again. Yay! Posting my review is almost like showing my consistency. Today's workout wrecked me. Mercy I am barely able to use my upper body. I had to use lighter than usual weights and do all but a few wide push ups on my knees. Not sure why: Just tired, not hydrated, still sore and tired in my muscles from previous workout...? Not sure but I did it and that is the important part. Thank you again for a great workout and a great series.

Triceps definitely got a good workout! I went heavier today on diamond and regular presses so I wasn’t surprised when I could barely do those last pushups on the bars. Opted for the cobras today, nice & slow ones, felt every second of those. Stayed with my regular DB choice for chest press and flyes knowing 3x1 minute sets was going to be enough of a challenge. Definitely enjoying these minute sets, gives a chance to tweak and play around with tempo when you feel like it. Thank you for another great workout!

The second time around, upped my weights and used 2x17kg dumbbells and 2x10kg dumbbells, unlike the first time, where I struggled with 15 kg dumbbells and even 7.5kg dumbbells. Gains people gains, and my hard work is paying off. As Caroline says, you do you and that is exactly what I have been doing, pushing harder and not forgetting to listen to my body. 💪💪

Gosh, I will be so intense: '1 min exercise *3' speaks to me in volumes. I reckon those dips are going to be a challenge though but so worth ever second of it👌. Caroline, again you have read my mind 🤗 may I say that thanks to all of your work here and your exercises and your motivation, I have even grown from a few push ups to 30. 😅 🔥 💪 Definitely used the timer as just a guide today. This one was FIRE from beginning to end. I was relieved that she only used 1 dumbbell for skull crushers, but they were still brutal. Used 30 and 15 pound dumbbells. Managed more push-ups than I thought I would be able to at the end, with the tricep push-ups on a bench.

Yess! Upper body + Abs! Let’s all enjoy this. Happy workout everyone! Used 7.5kg for most and a machine chest press. My right arm is so weak it cannot carry the same weight as my left! The push ups was a real finisher!

This one was certainly a killer! Start to finish, with the 1min x 3 sets, really challenging. Those push-ups at the end were spectacularly hard after such a solid session!

this one was SO FUN! i was thinking that my arms didn't feel too maxed out....but when I got into that first pushup of the finisher, my arms collapsed and I just went down, lol. it caught me by surprise, and I kept going after that, tried to to my best!

Yesterday lifted single 20 kg for the goblet squats for the first time, only managed 6-7 reps but felt like a badass... (Although arms got more of a workout than legs🤣) Now everything hurts so much today lol This program is literally like a treatment for my anxiety issues! So happy it's chest and triceps as even walking or taking stairs or sitting is a bit of a task today Caroline!! Day 12, here we goo

Woowee!! I was able to use 25lb to “match” Caroline’s 10KG so I was hooting and hollering for my progress. Doing skull crushers with a new heavier weight is exhilarating and only slightly nerve racking. I was on top of the world… until the finisher. Looks like I have plenty of room for improvement in my push-up game. 🤣 looking forward to the rest of the series to see what other PRs I can manage! Thank you for another amazing workout!!

Excited to start! Feel strong after Chest and tris Sesh. Got pushup bars that haven't used yet and I get to try em today. Let's Push and Smash this! 👊 Have a great workout y'all! 😊 Done ✔️ plus 12min. 4×4 Ab wo. Wow!! Chest were shaking and Triceps 💥. Toughest were dips and Finisher as Arms were dying. So.. Pushup bars def. easier on the wrists but more challenging doing the push-ups. Could only do about 3 wide and abt 6 of regular. It's a Fun challenge. 🤩 Thanks Caroline! ❤️

Well done Trish you rocked this one. Agree with you dips were very ouchie and the finisher finished me off. Managed the first 2 fine but when it came to tricep ones couldn't lift myself off the floor. Did those from my knees. Add on done too but decided to do a 15 min upper abs too that I have never done before from aBout a year ago so all set for the day. Have a good day🙂

Great workout! Usually I can do 25 + pushups in a row, but during the iron finisher I could only manage 5 reps of the wide pushups before failure, did the regulars 1 at a time, then had to do modified tricep pushups because I couldn't even do 1 rep!

I was not able to do the full push-ups (I go on my knees), but I try to keep my core as tight as possible. THANK YOU for the alternative to the tricep dips - I find it much less distracting than negotiating a less painful position on the chair! Liked this alot!

Really enoyed this one, but it was hard. I played around with my weights and actually managed to do a few chest presses with 12.5kg weights today, which is crazy and I'm so proud of myself😄 My triceps still need a bit of work, but I tried to challenge them with weight today as well without compromising form. Tricep pushups remain very frustrating for me, but I do think that focusing on the negatives is gradually giving me some more range of motion (it feels like I do semi decent half reps now, so yay). This looks great as usual! Chest and tris is my favorite combo. I always preveiw the workout before I do it and see what weights you are using and how many reps you do in the time frame and I think okay this looks easy enough, Ive got this. (You make it look easy lol) Then about a third of the way through the workout I think, wrong again!, this is hard! but its great as it makes me challenge myself to push past comfort zone. Thank you for another great workout!

Great chest day using 20kg and 11kg DBs. Used my Push-up handles which rotate so nice to keep the form slow and steady to keep the grip in one position. What a great piece of equipment tgat I have had for years and just never used it, definitely will be trying one od Carolines Pushup days using these. Also completed my tricep pushups on the handles as well which made it super tough. Have a great day everyone 😀

Hello Anthony...sounds like you've had another great session! I'm intrigued by your comment on the rotating handles on the push up bars...I don't think I've ever seen these! I found the last part of this workout very hard! I found the dips challenging...got through the first two sets of push ups in the finisher more or less OK...but after about 3 reps of tricep push ups my triceps simply stopped working! Oh well...I guess I'd worked to failure. I used 12.5 and 8 kg weights which was as much as I could handle! Enjoy your evening, Anthony...and I'll see you for posterior chain workout tomorrow! Matthew

Yea @@matthewalmond8274 so Matthew if can imagine Carolines pushup handles the are triangular on the base, mine are round. However on the bottom mine have a disc, this disc stays static but the the top section can rotate clockwise and anticlockwice so you can change the hand grip... they are very effective at targetting the angles. This week looks super so see you tomorrow for what looks like another great session.
