Iron sights vs. Budget Red Dot

I keep checking but the batteries on my irons are still good. HD: Are you really going to stick your head down a tube with an intruder 21 yards away? No, you are going to snap up and fire whether you have a red dot or irons.

I always shoot irons with 7.62x39. Here in Florida we don’t shoot much further than 100 meters usually. I have the same setup you do, but never use it except for playing around. 99% I’m gunning without it.

I'm looking into a better solution to mount optics on an ak rifle and it's not by putting it on the gas tube nor using the side rail

Best solution in that case would be a Texas weapons system or Zenitco top cover mount

@@theAKGeek , TWS Gen.2 on a Saiga seems for me works the best for me. The owner of TWS walked me though the install over the phone on a Friday night that's good service. Have good side mounts on other Saiga's n Vepr's too.

I usethat bushnell on my 5 years olds 22lr...i wouldnt use rhat for long on an ak, lol its gonna wear it smooth out, especially on a railed gas tube
