Easily one of the best turn-based strategy games ever made. I would kill for more Daisenryaku games to be ported. *sigh*

I had completely forgotten about this game. I had this for my Saturn and I loved it (Dragon Force also). The US campaign was easy, provided you used all arms you could. German campaign was easy, provided you upgraded your units and you were extremely aggressive (Kursk required fast action). I always thought the Japanese campaign was hardest. Naval and Air units were great but ground power sucked.

A friend of mine bought me Advanced Daisenryaku for Daisenryaku when he visited Japan, but it is entirely in Japanese. Rest, sweet Working Designs..... Rest.

Yeah I always thought the Japanese made their country stronger in this game when they were probably the weakest of the 5 major nations involved in the war. And sadly no Soviet or U.K campaigns :( Incredible game though and I always come back to every year or so and play it for about a month. I don't understand why so many of these games stay in Japan.

I'm not sure what you mean exactly by your comment, but I'm guessing you meant to say why did the country with fewest resources expand so much? That's because they attacked a bunch of islands and countries weaker than their own. In comparison to the other 4 major countries during world war 2, Japan was the weakest.
