That RG army is the epitome of a 'beautifully simple' paint scheme - clean, nice shading on the white, great execution, and just the right amount of attention paid to the details. I especially like the top doors of the Rhinos!

With the Mor Deythan, don't forget that the Volkites get Deflagrate, so would have been some more hits on the Iron Circle. Also nemesis bolters have Pinning, so the tactical squad on turn 1 that lost its apothecary needed to make a test.

@@SNBattleReports Maybe I am missing something, as I thought the restrictions on charging only happen for dreadnoughts (as part of the Dreadnought unit type). Iron Circle are not Dreadnoughts and Relentless does not specify a charge target, so why can’t you shoot and charge two different units?

Fun game, thank you 👍The Raven Guard is a fantastic looking force. Not sure I agree the IW list is stronger - I think that RG list is very competitive, well optimised and plays into the RG rules/equipment very well. Whereas things like the missiles and dread autocannons on the IW look very cool and are fluffy but give up things like AP2 which is making a difference. I play against RG quite a lot and have more success going with a bit more speed and an aggressive deployment to rapidly get in amongst them and counter punch the brutal, and almost inevitable, kicking you get in T1. Would love to see the shenanigans of RG vs Alphas if Medders visits again!

I think you might have held back the LR and siege termies, get the fear was the javlins but i think would have been a different game if you had both contemptors on your right flank and the LR starting in place of the contemptor on the left. Maybe even tried to screen one of the tac squad with it because those apothecaries were target practise first turn for the snipers. hard game though jose did everything right and the setup favoured going in aggressive.

Rapiers are relentless which allows them to fire Heavy or Ordnance weapons counting as stationary if they move - so they can move and shoot.

I feel that the thunder hammer on the praetor is a waste of points: as per a recent FAQ you can resolve all your attacks with your servo arm, meaning that you're just buying brutal for 30pts with a thunder hammer... Not worth it
