First game after the loss against Tamworth. Rushall Olympic the visitors, nice easy game you’d think as they sit 18th in the league. It was nice and easy for them. Liam McDonald saying
In the press it would probably be the greatest result in the clubs history if they were to come and win. That first half they looked like the only ones that would win. They hit the post, made Fitzsimons work and also a few wayward shots.
We played like we had a hangover from
Tuesday. Like it was still in the minds. We weren’t great at all. We had our moments though too, DSF brought down in the box nothing given. To be fair they could have had possibly two pens also, if the player had gone down. Credit to him though he stayed on his feet - thank goodness!!
Second half was much of the same. That is until they had a player punch someone. So ended up down to 10 men. That definitely told and I think the fact they’d put so much into the first half, tiredness was prevailing and ultimately the flame went out. We eventually got the break though. Elliott with a bit of composure to put the ball in the net - 90th minute. Yes we’ve done a Tamworth 😂 Then they went down to 9 men due to a head injury. In doing so, Liam McDonald being shown a yellow and red card. Then not wanting to leave the tunnel area and arguing with fans. Why did I sit in different seats 🤦🏻 I could have argued with him also lol
The fun wasn’t over yet. DSF was announced as MOTM, he was one of the bright sparks over the 90+7mins. Then just after scores our second and makes the score line look a little more respectable.
Yes we won but it wasn’t great, midfield looked tired/jaded for me. Whitehall looked isolated at times. Kougan had his moments too. Main thing is we won, however it happened. Big game on Tuesday night at Blyth, where ideally we need 3 points again. Won’t be easy, though we have to believe.
Credit to Joe for additional footage around the away dugout. Don’t think they were happy with the result 😂
