You need to rotate the water jacket on the motor so as the water barbs are nearer the top of the motor. Where you have them coming out the side of the motor the water jacket dosn't fill completely before water starts exiting the jacket. It will run cooler with a full water jacket. Heads up on the TP motor sizing, TP size their motors different to some other makes of motors. The 3650 on the TP means the motor is 36mm diameter but the 50 is the length of the rotor/stator inside the motor, the stock blue motor is sized on o/d of the motor x length of the motor. The rotor/stator in that motor is only around 30mm long, which is one reason its not very powerfull.

I'm pretty new to the RC boat game so I don't really understand, the difference between a four pole and a six Pole motor! what are the differences and is there a benefit from one to the other?
@IRONCLADRC3 жыл бұрын
4 pole have 4 magnets on the rotor 6 pole has 6... 6 pole I believe, some one can correct me if I'm wrong. 6 pole has more torq = fast acceleration 4 pole less torq but higher top speed. KINDA sorta 😅 in short REAL SHORT hope this hells

I love that you are changing stuff and trying new stuff. But shimming that collet defeats that purpose of using a collet. Collets are used because they are perfectly centered and can also grab a flex shaft. When you shim it with a very very loose fitting shim. It sends it all out of wack. You can hear it when you run it up out of the water. You are scrubbing speed loosing it to vibration abs heat. And it’s also gonna wreck the bearings and flex shaft.

THE 3650 Stock motor isn't wired for 4 S. Your batteries simply have ascending C ratings and more capacity. "You're super charger is the 4000 KV. motor. " That's your speed. It's double the output of your stock motor. What I've done, is run a 3000 VV. motor, 120 Amp ESC. and ran both a Prather and Grim Racer prop. Stock for me is an Octura 438. AND getting just about 45 m.p.h ALL 3 props balanced , and or sharped. THE 4000 Small block, is a killer upgrade,. and definitely a keeper. Side grade, and what I would do, is to change out the rudder and replace it with a dual water pickup. or add an additional , inline pickup, and separate your water feeds , to run the Controller and engine separately. AND finally , change out to ESC 5 connectors. Putting some weights forward, will also help prevent blow-overs. (Done that) Happy racing. P.S, love my Black Jack.

THE getaway, was the smaller 2850 , it will run cooler than the stock motor . I have seen people shove 8 S into the boat, and all sorts of bad things to follow. Blown up ESC'S , and battery cables catching fire. THE spectators thought is was cool. IF not costly. THE boat hull wasn't designed to go that fast. HE blew it over twice, before flaming it. THE guy, didn't seem too concerned. I think you and I like our "Need for speed." AND with that big motor,. YOU got a major ride. Imagine , your boat a Go Kart, rolling up to a Top Fuel dragster. YOU win! What prop did you end up using with the 6S? Just curious.

THE Turbo Boost was the 4000 KV , (4000 PRM . per volt. ) which is why, you got yourself a sleeper on 2S . , and 30 MPH . Which , the stock 3S configuration , gets you , unless you prop up.? 50 MPH. ? and then above? YOU were playing in the "Big Boats club. Hi man, great video. the original motor is not that great, maybe 800 watts ... maybe. What you put on 1400watt should be but it can handle if I'm not mistaken at most 4s. So it's great for 24 ". I think even a 1200watt can work but in all cases you have to have a 90 esc at least plus a 38mm diameter metal propeller. I think it's a great recipe what do you think?
