I love this album! The thing about this album I think that doesnt rank as high as TNOTB, Powerslave, SSOASS is that just like Piece of mind (that is also one of my favroites) is that overal doesnt flow as good as the other ones as an album, not that is bad, is just that the others, in particular SSOASS flows perfectly as an album. The 2nd thing, and thats also in the context it came out, the tone is not as raw as the other albums. the more synth guitar tone makes this one a bit less heavy metal. But if you ask me I love this album, and I love each album as their own thing.

What matters is that it is melodic, emotional, powerful, beautiful, innovative, unique! Simple or not! If it is JUST complicated it doesn’t mean anything! Although maiden do it all simple or not but for the sake of music

Somewhere in time and 7th son are my two fav Maiden albums, and that is much credit to Adrian Smith. They never get old and still sound fresh.

WHAT MASTERPIECE IS THIS!!! THE Classic song, from the most awesome Heavy Metal decade, the 80's!
@almin97512 жыл бұрын
This song has such class, it is so elegantly build up... So much good taste in all its construction. The intro, the pace of the verses, the chorus, the interlude to the solo... The solo, the closing absolutely one of their top songs!

Describing Iron Maiden is like trying to describe the band RUSH. They are the best at what they do and they have raised the bar so high that most aspiring musicians will forever be reaching for that bar. People call RUSH progressive rock or whatever but its not. RUSH is just RUSH and no one else even comes close. Same with Maiden. They are master storytellers that just happen to be proficient as hell on whatever instrument it is they play and they have created a style all their own. Three badass guitar players that vary in style. A bass player like Geddy Lee in that he writes and plays the bass in his very own style. And as for Nicko Mcbrain? A drummer that you can pick out in the first couple notes of a song. I've seen Iron Maiden 8 times and I can't wait for the 9th.

As a fan of both RUSH and Maiden, definitely voiced more in RUSH, I wholeheartedly agree with you on this one.

Rush were progressive but evolved beyond that on their musical journey. Very Happy memories of meeting Rush on the signals and R30 tours and fortunate enough to also meet Maiden at the now defunct Mayfair ballrooms in Newcastle upon Tyne after seeing their somewhere in time tour at the city hall. Absolute gentlemen and Steve Harrris got the beers in. Absolute legend. So a big smile on my face everytime I hear songs off this album.
