'World Championship' in Nice. Like the Tour de France in Germany, Masters Golf in Nashville, the Boston Marathon in Cincinnati, etc.,etc. Over 40 years of history discarded. At IM Lake Placid this year there were Nice qualifying slots left over even after the announcer asked whether anyone who even finished wanted to go to Nice. That never happened with Kona. All to get another 1,400 entry fees. And puleeze don't carry on about women now having a separate day. As the announcers said, not the same feeling as Kona where the entire town is triathlon for a week and the worlds fittest men AND women gather together. This year will be number 30 for me in Kona and it will not be the same.
