I did Austria in 2019, my only full distance to date. I wouldn't say it was a hard course. The bike isn't flat, but it is fine and you get lots of straight downhills. One option would be to to the swim and bike, maybe with a 10k run, at Austria as a last big session where you could test everything for outlaw? Klagenfurt is lovely as is the lake and the scenery. There were storms when I did it, which meant no wetsuits and a very wet bike course.

Cheers for the insight, I think I've just seen the total elevation for the bike course (nearly 5000ft) and assumed it was hard 😬 so good to know it might be ok. Yes also a good idea to just do part of the run, but then again id be 90% of the way towards the first Ironman and medal so would I be able to resist the rest of it, we'll have to wait and see 😆

Great to see you back! Outlaw is a good shout. I have unfinished business there…. Not this year though 😬

Firstly congratulations! Great end to last year and over winter training mate! How do you get 2 hour sessions in your pool? We are limited to 55 minutes here. Sounds like a good race season although two IM less than a month apart? 😬

Cheers 👍, going to be an interesting year 😂Ahhh so the details for each bit of training are over the week, so 2 - 3hrs of swimming over the week. Although I'm pretty sure you could just stay in the pool after your hour and keep swimming, I've never seen anyone get told to get out, this is at an Everyone Active.
